The Journeyman Refrigeration is responsible for installation of refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building code and proper piping practices.
· Provides support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.

Maintain the electrical systems and equipment of Southern Nazarene University's physical plant in good condition and working order, to create a safe and suitable environment for learning and living. Under the supervision of the electrical supervisor and/or officials responsible for the coordination and accomplishment of plant maintenance and operation work, perform the duties peculiar to, and normally required in, the trade of electrician, following recognized procedures and techniques for such work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Including, but not limited to:
Installation of new and additional electrical work, remodeling, etc.
Maintenance and repair of fixtures, motors, relays, magnetic starters, transformers, etc.
Installation of electrical conduit/wiring for new equipment and fixtures
Understand the electrical symbols and interpretation of building and electrical prints.
Troubleshoot elements of electrical systems to isolate defects in wiring, blown fuses, short circuits, defective switches, etc, and to locate obvious faults in motors and other electrical equipment, using suitable testing instruments.
Replace faulty switches, sockets, plugs, fuses, insulators, and other simple elements of electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances.
Must be able to handle and read a variety of hand tools and meters.
As required, estimate materials needed and record time and materials expended on each work order.
Will have some supervisory duties if a helper is assigned to assist in the work of the electrician.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
Ability to work independently.
