What you'll do:

What you'll bring:

Maintenance staff team members do various types of work under minimal supervision including trouble shooting and maintaining food processing equipment, production lines and personnel supervision for large scale manufacturing. a) Shafts, keys and keyways, pins, and shaft couplings. Understand strengths and limitations of each.
b) Chains and sprockets, chain and sprocket operation, strengths and limitations.
c) Gears and gear ratios; be able to calculate speed

Purpose Statement
The Line Maintenance Technician's responsibility is to perform basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic repair and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment, and structure of the facility.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
Observes all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment.
Follows all established Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
Trouble shooting and diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical failures.
Assures preventive maintenance program is conducted on all plant equipment.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Perform welding, cutting and soldering using electric and gas equipment.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; installing, aligning and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, freezers or stairs.
Employee regularly required standing, reaching, bending, and moving about the facility.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Technical School graduate preferred.
Three or more years of experience in manufacturing maintenance environment.
Must read, write and speak English.
A high degree of judgment is required for this job.
Knowledge of power and hand tools.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with all employee levels at the plant as mechanics may perform training for newly acquired equipment.
COMPENSATION

The Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd shift is responsible for installing, disassembling, repairing, and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical duties such as pumps, valves, conveyor work, sprockets, gearboxes, etc.
* Complete preventive maintenance work orders.
* Work with industrial electricity (motor controls) to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including all three phase 480, 240 and other plant systems.
* Calibrate all plant instrumentation in a wide variety of makes and types specifications (i.e., temperature, flow, pH, vacuum, pressure, Foxboro, Honeywell, Micromotion, Fischer, Anderson, etc.).
* Perform cleaning duties as required.
* Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
* Follow company's good manufacturing and safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping in area (i.e., toolboxes).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth
