Work requires careful layout and coordination with the contractors in establishing the expanded applications. Works closely with manufacturer field service engineers and technicians when installing or making extensive changes to the Fire Detection System and Central Monitoring Control Systems by integrating new equipment into the system. -Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Uses and assures proper fit of required safety equipment and clothing. Performs cleanup duties, such as cleaning equipment, sweeping, straightening, and returning tools and other property to their assigned area. It will be required to operate a motor vehicle as part of the regular duties. Skill in using and maintaining hand tools such as, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, strippers, cable pullers, drills, soldering irons, and manual or power conduit benders and threaders. -Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers and management. -Ability to use electrical drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams and to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various electrical systems, controls, and equipment without more than normal supervision.
