Title: Shop Technician
Salary Range: $20.00-$24.oo/Hour
is to pull and stage equipment from warehouse for outbound shows.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Preparing/returning show equipment.
Package and label items appropriately for transportation or based on show requirements.
Work with operations to ensure proper substitutions on shortages.
Receive sub-rented items into order to ensure fulfillment.
Create Shipping manifest or carnet prior to shipping.
Responsible for pushing the equipment to various docking stations for outbound delivery.
Loading/unloading trucks.
Assist restocking delivered equipment in various locations throughout the warehouse.
Document service in inventory system and report all damaged equipment to operations.
Keep detailed records of maintenance, QC, and items entered into repair.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
Full time temporary, with ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends.
Position Requirements:
R2 basic knowledge.
Positive Attitude and ability to work independently.
Experience in a warehouse or shop environment is a plus.
Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to spend long periods of work time standing or moving in a 70,000+ square foot warehouse.
Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
Certified to drive sit down and standup forklift is a plus.
Computer literacy / experience with Microsoft office is a plus.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities
Follow prescribed schedule and travel to customer locations, communicating status with customers and management.
Research and maintain familiarity with customer equipment to be serviced as needed, utilizing all available resources, including manufacturer training, documentation, technical support, consultation with team members, and other sources
Identify and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at customer site
Utilize standard hand tools, as well as any applicable specialized industry tools, researching their proper usage when needed
Assemble and disassemble equipment per manufacturer instructions and customer specifications
Identify and diagnose reported and unreported issues with equipment, identify parts or repair services needed, and make recommendations to remediate and restore full functionality
Clearly document and communicate findings with customers and management, both verbally and through the use of service management software
Interact with customers in a professional manner to help maintain great client relations and explain repairs and equipment failures
Accept customer payments and securely deposit when needed
Drive from job to job in a branded vehicle. Maintain consistent cleanliness and organization of vehicle, manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to facilitate operational efficiency at all times
Occasionally lift heavy equipment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
One year of mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience working with hand tools required (or completion of trade school)
Comprehension and articulation of technical and mechanical documents and concepts
Experience repairing fitness equipment is a plus but not necessary, additional training is provided as needed
Positive attitude, professional appearance, and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
Ability to manipulate or lift awkward or heavy equipment up to 100 pounds
Ability to use a phone/tablet for scheduling and job reports
Daily local travel required
Valid Driver's License
A self-starter with problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and plan, organize, and manage a variety of tasks
High School diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
