Position Responsibilities: Fabricate, assemble, and test components of prototype aircraft instrumentation and ordnance equipment Set up and operate required flight test equipment (e.g., wire bundles, sensors, strain gages) to perform functional or environmental tests on production and/or experimental Obtain appropriate engineering drawings and test documents, as required, for assignment if drawings, sketches, and documents are not with work order Fabricate wire bundles used to connect various types of flight test computer equipment together, for the purpose of collecting and storing data during test flights Perform tests such as vibration, thermal, humidity, or altitude using various computer systems, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types under direction of lead and/or engineering. ABOUT THE ROLE The Maintenance Electrician is a union position. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. The prime objective of this position is to ensure the integrity and reliability of all plant equipment via timely, planned, thorough and consistent maintenance activities and inspections. The electrician is responsible for carrying out electrical/maintenance processes and PM program inspections throughout the Seattle Grinding Plant.
