Eos Energy Electrical Technicians provide support through the assembly of energy cube trays, assembly and disassembly of energy cubes, remediation of charged and discharged energy cubes, and perform initial tray level testing, ensuring each assembled tray is properly functioning. Electrical Technicians also are responsible for inspection of battery, adhere to our FAT system to perform testing, install our battery management system and string boards, read and understand drawings and blueprints, troubleshooting issues, energize and discharge batteries at 1500 volts and more!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection of the energy block when received to insure no issues.
Install Battery Management System (BMS) and string boards.
Perform initial testing as outlined by the FAT (Factory acceptance testing).
Use various hand and power tools correctly and safely to assemble sub-assemblies and products.
Read and understand technical drawings, mechanical and electrical blueprints, and bills of materials.
Inspect subassemblies and/or assemblies for defects by operating specialized test equipment, measurement devices, and visual checking. Identify and correct defects appropriately.
Verify use of correct materials by inspection and parts lists; identify and correct process and material defects.
Ensure the FAT is filled out completely and correctly.
Troubleshoot issues both electronically and mechanically.
Point of contact on shift for updates on progress to dept. manager/supervisor.
Energize and discharge energy blocks at 1500 volts.
Monitor data recorders, collect and analyze data, and change test parameters.

Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.

Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.
Fluent with EMT conduit and modest experience with rigid conduit.
Can perform power distributions (transformers, panels, fenders, etc.).
Able to perform large and small wire pulls with little or no supervision.
Must have some knowledge of special systems.
Establish and maintain a team work environment with others; appropriate interaction with external customers or the public.
Other additional related tasks and duties as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent;
Hold a Journeymen's card (completed 4 years of Apprenticeship) or equivalent in years of experience;
Minimum of OSHA 10 completed.
Work Environment
This job operates in a field environment. Electricians may be involved in construction or maintenance usually work a 40-hour, five-day week plus overtime when required. Working conditions can change dramatically from one job to another, varying from indoors in clean conditions to outdoors on scaffolding, and to confined and restricted locations. May require working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions; exposure to contaminants and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; Requires repetitive movement; climbing ladders, scaffolds, or poles; standing, walking and running; using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; and bending or twisting.
