Responsibilities
PURPOSE: To perform electrical and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance in order to ensure integrity of infrastructure and the production equipment performs as required.

Must possess mobility to work in wastewater treatment plants and related facilities; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work in confined spaces, around machines and to climb and descend ladders, and to operate varied hand and power tools and construction equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; color vision to read gauges and identify appurtenances; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves fieldwork requiring frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment. Summary: This position is responsible for assisting Project Foreman with on schedule and on budget completion of projects. This creates value for our clients and for our business. Mechanic Electricians will report directly to their Project Foreman.
Key Result Areas
Be on time and ready to start work at the designated start time
Report to Foreman for duty assignment with personal tools on hand
It is required to complete OSHA 10 within 30 days of employment
Follow OSHA Regulations (if unsure, ask Foreman)
Guide Apprentice Electricians in work duties
Direct Apprentice Electricians when Foreman is unavailable
Work in a clean work-man-like manner at all times
Assist other Titan Team members to complete all required work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site
Keep all trailers / storage containers / job boxes clean and organized
Correct and inform Foreman of all safety concerns
Always have and use your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Inform Foreman of any deficiencies on the work you are performing
Communicate with Foreman any potential issues you see with completing your scope of work
Always work safe, you are important to the Team.

Job Description
OMI MedTech is a subsidiary of Omega Medical Imaging and provides the highest quality medical equipment service options in healthcare facilities throughout the state of Florida. Specialized training in x-ray, anesthesia, or sterilizers is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Equipment Technician performs and scheduled maintenance and builds a knowledge base of a variety of common medical devices. Examples of these medical devices are; Infusion Pumps, Centrifuges, Suction pumps, Patient Support equipment, etc. The Medical Equipment Technician will also provide the following services; electrical systems check, equipment tagging, incoming equipment inspections, installation, recall & alert activities and calibration & repair of medical devices. The Medical Equipment Technician may also provide the following services: incoming equipment inspections, installation, recall & alert activities and calibration & repair of medical devices. Basic X-Ray Training and ability to perform PM's on basic x-ray systems a plus.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have one of the following: Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field United States Military Biomedical Equipment Service training.
Technical certificate from accredited institution for Biomedical Equipment Service, electronics, or other related field.
One to three years of direct medical device service experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use hand tools commonly associated with the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
Demonstrated ability to use test equipment, gauges and meters commonly associated with the service of medical equipment.
Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret technical documentation including, but not limited to wiring and equipment schematics.
Demonstrated ability of basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrate basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology Demonstrate basic understanding of medical terminology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years direct medical equipment service experience.
Basic X-Ray Training and/ or Specialized Biomedical Equipment Service training on specific equipment (Anesthesia, sterilizers, ultrasound, or X-ray,).
Be able to provide expert level knowledge and skills on at least two specialized medical technology device types. Some examples of these medical devices are: networked physiological monitoring systems, specialized medical laboratory equipment, various respiratory therapy equipment and ventilators, highly specialized surgical systems, x-ray systems, or medical device security.
CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) or CLES (Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist).
