POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
In the electrical maintenance role you will Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems of the plant in accordance with codes, regulations, and specifications, ensuring minimum down time of the plant operations, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support maximizing facility uptime through execution of rolling equipment setups.

Removes biological specimens from biohazard bags including blood, urine, bone marrow, body fluids, and tissue specimens. Understand all different types of collection media, preservatives, and risks of exposure to infectious agents. Handles both infectious A and B substances with appropriate CDC, and IDPH guidelines. Ability to determine if specimen was collected in appropriate collection container and media. Understands steps to resolve collection issues to ensure patient testing is performed or recollected.
Receives all calls arriving in the laboratory from providers, clients, nurses, management, and patients. Logs calls in tracking software, answers all questions pertaining to phlebotomy draws, specimen collection, transport of specimens, provides lab results, supply requests, forensic autopsy cases, and administrative questions. Scope of Role:
This role will be responsible for all installs, repairs, troubleshooting, testing and maintaining the operation of electrical equipment in a manufacturing facility. The individual will be expected to perform a wide variety of electrical maintenance and repair work on production machinery. In addition, included in this role will be mechanical and plumbing work to install, repair, troubleshoot, maintain the equipment in the plant. Given that this role is part of a dynamic and evolving team, there is room for both personal and career development for an individual who shows commitment to the role and takes the initiative to engage in unassigned projects.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate record keeping of work orders
Ensure electrical equipment is prepared for operation following protocols and procedures and perform regular technical testing; able to troubleshoot voltages of 480, 240, 208, 120, 110
Execute routine maintenance on electrical equipment, motors, drives, control centers; replaces or repairs machine belts, rollers, bearings, or other parts; removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste materials from machines
Reads and understands programmable logic controllers (PLC's). Able to troubleshoot.
Troubleshoot electrical, Motors, Perform Electrical Tests, Testing Windings for Shorts, Opens and Ground Faults, Phase Unbalance, Phase Rotation Testing, Forward/Reverse Motor Starters, and mechanical issues. Generate plans to make repairs.

Priorities of the Maintenance Technician include the execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required and fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance.

Physical Requirements:
The employee will lift and move heavy items, which will require the ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds to a height of 6 feet

Facilities can be extremely hot or cold at times, so the employee must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
The employee will be handling materials daily, which requires the ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods

Education/Experience:
