This is a full-time experienced Maintenance Mechanic position that is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Responsibilities Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair on industrial and mining equipment. Troubleshoot 480V systems, motors, motor controls, and power distribution. Work with PLCs, including Allen-Bradley, for diagnostics and basic programming adjustments. Maintain conveyors, crushers, screens, bag houses, and other aggregate processing equipment. Perform electrical inspections and ensure compliance with company and safety standards. Travel to various terminals across the West Coast to support electrical needs of the operation. Document work performed and communicate effectively with supervisors and onsite teams. Requirements 3-5 years of industrial or mining electrical experience required. Strong knowledge of 480V, MCCs, motor controls, and troubleshooting. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (diagnostics, I/O, VFDs, etc.). Electrical Maintenance Technician Job activities include: installation, maintenance, testing, calibration and commissioning of electrical systems and components. Electrical Maintenance Technicians will work on low, medium and high voltage systems to ensure electrical maintenance is completed safely, on schedule and within equipment manufacturer's recommendations. Duties include: Installation, maintenance, testing, calibration and commissioning of electrical systems and components. Act as “Employee in Charge” on some jobs, ensuring that jobs are efficiently planned and safely completed. Perform other assignments as required. Some supervision required. Read and interpret one line drawing, schematics drawings and other service documents, including manufacturer's instructions and manuals. Responsible for maintaining personal support equipment, PPE, hand tools and test equipment. Perform maintenance, tests and inspections on the following equipment: high voltage SF6 circuit breakers, medium voltage vacuum circuit breakers, low voltage power circuit breakers, switchboards, panel boards, ground systems, motor starters, variable frequency drive's, low and medium voltage cables, low, medium and high voltage switches, ground fault systems, isolation transformers, two-winding transformers, power transformers, instrument transformers, automatic transfer switches, static transfer switches, sectionalized switches, batteries, and all equipment associated with low and medium voltage substation and switchgear systems. Working knowledge of NETA MTS testing specifications Accurately record field data for all tests and inspections utilizing Power DB and Maximo. Assist with start-up services on switchgear and electrical systems up through 138 kV. Conduct safety meetings as required. Ensure compliance with DeanFluor environmental and safety policies. Maintain strong team and client relationships. Requirements High school diploma or GED coupled with A minimum of 10 years of progressive and hands-on experience in an environment of similar proportions and mission as the assigned area of responsibility. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to efficiently schedule and execute work in a dynamic environment with large numbers of equipment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans blueprints, and schematic diagrams. Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA maintenance practices, maintenance and supply procedures, and quality control procedures. Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex electrical systems, perform damage assessments, estimate maintenance, parts, and manpower requirements, diagnose malfunctions, and employ testing and inspection techniques. A minimum of five years' experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of electrical systems, controls, generators, and life safety systems, including five years related experience in data center or complex mission critical environments Ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders, and to lift equipment over six feet above ground Must conform to all city, state and federal licensing and certification requirements. Possess an active License (determined by the location of services) Lifting and physical exertion required Perform other related duties as requested Must be capable of achieving and maintaining security clearance Abilities Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
