Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
Ā· Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools.

Ā· Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
Ā· Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.
Ā· Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
Ā· Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development.
Ā· Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
Ā· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
Ā· Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
Ā· Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
Ā· Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate

7. Develops knowledge base of different systems within the Distribution Center.

Responsible for understanding and complying with the fundamental principles associated with the Quality and Environmental Management System in place at BlueScope Coated Products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To repair any and all electrical problems as they occur on a timely basis
To install new electrical components, conduit, lights, control panels, starter panels
Assist in ordering parts needed to complete jobs
Assist with training of other maintenance personnel

Perform preventative maintenance per the company's preventative maintenance plan
Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment as required
Desirable: Operate a fork truck, JLG, scissor lift and other mobile equipment or have the ability to learn to operate

Purpose Statement
