As an Electrical Controls Technician, you would be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintaining Cedar Point's controls systems. Working as a team, the systems are maintained to a high standard. This is done utilizing digital multi-meters, PLC ladder logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and other types of diagnostic software and tools. Must have a working knowledge of Allen Bradley controls to include DC and AC drives and a multitude of PLCs from the tried-and-true PLC5 to the latest and greatest ControlLogix. The brands of drives and PLCs are not limited to Allen Bradley.
Responsibilities:
Install and repair electrical systems.
Calibrate equipment, design, inspect, and troubleshoot wiring, panels, glitches, and other malfunctions.
Diagnose and repair DC drive controllers and DC motors.
Must know how to use amp probe, digital volt meter, oscilloscope and other test equipment.
Diagnose PLC (SLC500, PLC5, NUMA LOGIC, ControlLogix 5000, CompactLogix) and relay logic electrical problems.
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Icom software programs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems desirable.
Familiar with AutoCad and capable of drawing schematics.
Standard control system wiring practices and control sensing devices such as proximity sensors, photo eyes, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

Job Accountabilities

The Maintenance Electrician maintains and enhances the electrical infrastructure of our coil coating factory in Toledo, Ohio. The position will perform preventative and corrective repairs, interpret blueprints, troubleshoot issues, uphold safety standards and keep detailed documentation. This is a hands-on position that will be required to support a variety of duties and responsibilities in this continuous operation.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems for production machinery, conveyors, motors, and control panels.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues on automated equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, and motor control circuits.
Install and maintain wiring, conduit, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components in compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to plan and execute repairs.
Test electrical systems using meters and diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report findings to supervisors.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and support continuous production operations.

Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, programming and installing electrical control systems used in manufacturing, including plant power distribution equipment, facility electrical equipment and auxiliary systems.

Perform & manage small to medium plant electrical projects and work orders.
Keep abreast of new electrical control technologies.
Be available for off-shift technical support to production lines.
Develop and conduct technical training for other plant associates.
Operate, utilize, and maintain a personal computer for electrical troubleshooting, programming, configuring, and general maintenance of electrical control equipment.
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understand & follow NEC/NFPA 70, 70E, & 79, as well as OSHA code regulations as they pertain to the plant facility & equipment.

• Set up, stocks, and keeps readiness, an electrical, electronic, and instrumentation repair shop and uses specialized electric and electronic tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Works with Operators, Maintenance Specialists, and other WRRF staff on a variety of plant equipment and facilities as needed.
• Installs electrical equipment and systems such as light fixtures, transformers, high voltage switches, circuits, electrical panels, power distribution, any necessary wiring, and laying conduit.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on circuits, motors, electrical switches, heaters, appliances, transformers, sampling equipment, and power distribution.
• Performs routine inspections of electrical systems, wiring, components, and accessories throughout the facility.
• Reads blueprints, sketches, and layouts; provides recommendations for replacing/upgrading electrical/electronic equipment as necessary.
• Cleans up work sites after completion of jobs; keeps work areas, repair shop, and stock room organized and clean
• Additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess a journeyman's card in the electrical trade or electrical license from the State of Ohio.
OR Graduated from an accredited college with an Associate's Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, Automation Electronics, or a closely related field AND have four (4) years of documented work experience in the electrical and instrumentation field;
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in installing, repairing, calibrating, and trouble-shooting electronic instrumentation to include, but not limited to, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, control panels, motor control centers (MCCCs), and other process control devices; as well as experience in the installation of conduit and wire, and use of diagnostic equipment.
• Possess a Class 1 Wastewater Operator Certification, or ability to obtain in two (2) years.
• Valid driver's license with driving privileges in the State of Ohio.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team! In this role, you will perform preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Your priorities will include executing PM schedules, repairing equipment to maintain maximum production rates, and maintaining an adequate spare parts inventory. Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and perform repairs on machines and their controls (extruders, corrugators, extrusion die, DC/AC motor & drives, downstream equipment, chillers, etc.).

* Contact, specify, and order replacement parts & control components from suppliers as needed.
* Effectively contribute to CMMS performance through timely PM & Repair Work Order completion while ensuring compliance.
* First responder to troubleshooting machine problems; contact Electrical Engineering if additional support is needed.
* Support Daily Management directives and initiatives.
* Help develop and implement Continuous Improvement projects to improve production efficiencies and safety.
* Work with Production Staff to ensure the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment.
Qualifications
* High School / Vocational School Diploma or Equivalent.
* Ability to lift 50 pounds to a height of 6 feet.
* Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours.
* Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes.
* Ability to handle materials daily using hands, arms, and legs.
* Full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and mounting/dismounting industrial equipment and vehicles.
* Technician level - Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic preferred.
* Basic PLC and Drive training preferred.
