The Electrical Designer is responsible for drafting, designing, and reviewing electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for a variety of oilfield, marine, battery, utility, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Detailed Description:

* Create detailed schematics for electrical switchgear, drives, controls, and PLC based equipment
* Develop single line drawings, basic general arrangement drawings, nameplate, panel board schedules and other drawings required for manufacturing, proposals, and customer documentation
* Create symbols in Autocad Electrical as required for schematics and single line drawings
* Create detailed mechanical drawings for the external structure, skids, enclosures, boxes and hydraulic systems
* Revise drawings as required for design changes and as-built customer documentation
* Prepare I/O lists
* Assist with component selection and bills of material
* Assist with ongoing efforts to standardize and unify design document standards
* Support and collaborate with other departments within the organization
* All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum 2-year drafting degree
* Experience with using AutoCAD
* Familiarity with electrical equipment, wiring, and basic hydraulic/mechanical piping systems

Preferred Qualifications:

* Basic knowledge of cable sizing
* Basic familiarity with National Electric Code

Additional Details:

Work is primarily in a climate controlled/office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Some work will require visits to the shop for measurement and collaboration. Qualifications:
