Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipment functionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver accurate and effective diagnostic results.
Essential Work Functions:
Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions if they arise
Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
Maintain equipment and sterilize the room in which procedure takes place
Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and health care team
Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions as needed
Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records
Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice

The EEG Technologist works closely with Neurologists and clinical team members to ensure accurate, high-quality recordings while providing a calm, supportive experience for patients. Candidates with prior EEG experience will be prioritized; however, motivated individuals with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Position Responsibilities
Perform EEG examinations following established protocols, including accurate head measurements, electrode placement, equipment calibration, and clear documentation to ensure high-quality, reliable studies
Collect patient health histories and explain procedures in a calm, reassuring manner to create a positive patient experience
Monitor EEG recordings in real time, identifying and minimizing electrical interference or artifacts to maintain excellent technical quality
Review recordings for completeness and quality prior to interpretation and coordinate timely exam interpretation with Neurologists
Provide attentive support and comfort to patients throughout the exam, ensuring safety, dignity, and clear communication
Assist with general patient care and departmental needs, such as patient transportation, while maintaining EEG coverage
Coordinate inpatient EEG orders with the front desk and other modalities to confirm patient readiness and arrival times
Schedule patient appointments and help ensure smooth daily workflow
Maintain equipment and supplies, keeping the EEG area organized and prepared
Position Requirements
CPR certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
Ability to work independently, professionally, and as part of a collaborative care team
Candidates with two (2) or more years of EEG experience will be given first consideration
Individuals with less experience but strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and interest in neurodiagnostics are encouraged to apply

Full time 3rd shift sleep technologist positions in Wilmington, OH and Washington Courthouse, OH areas. Shifts split between the two locations after training. Shifts 10 or 12 hours 3-4 nights per week. Weekday position.
NPSG Preparation:
1. Review Patient request form orders and protocols for study.
2. Review pertinent information in patient chart.
3. Communicate with ordering physician to clarify unclear orders and update physician (per protocol) of patient status in a clear, concise manner.
4. Administer appropriate questionnaires to patients, give tour, brief explanation of procedures for evening.
5. Calibrate sleep systems, and ancillary equipment (CPAP, oximeters, etc.), as well as troubleshooting any problem areas during calibrations.
6. Select and change montages on sleep systems as appropriate
7. Interview patient to assess current medications, recent caffeine or alcohol ingestion, current sleep pattern, need for treatment intervention during testing, or need to discontinue medication for testing purposes.
8. Measure and apply EEG electrodes according to the international 10-20 system.
9. Score polysomnograms according to criteria laid out by The AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events: Rules, Terminology, and Technical Specifications.
10. Place and securely attach electrodes for EOG, EMG, and EKG.
11. Place and securely attach recording devices to measure airflow, respiratory effort, snores, and oximetry.
12. Perform physiological calibrations and make appropriate equipment adjustments.
13. Educate and acclimate the patient to CPAP/BiLevel pressure and apparatus. Correctly fit the patient with a mask.
Tasks during NPSG:
1. Monitor the PSG and document significant clinical and physiological Events.
2. Recognize equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot as necessary.
3. Recognize physiological vs. mechanical artifact and troubleshoot each with as little disruption to the rest as possible.
4. Document all activities in correct manner according to protocol including: Medication administration and reason for order, NCPAP/O2 titration changes and why, half hour annotations for SaO2-Sleep Stages-Snore Level-Breathing impairment-EKG Stability/Dysrhythmias interaction with patient, patient position/activity observations, intervention, troubleshooting changes, and physician notification.
Tasks following NPSG
1. Remove electrodes and clean/calibrate all ancillary equipment according to protocols.
2. Interview patient about NPSG results, administer appropriate questionnaires, arrange information for review, and review pertinent information with daytime staff as needed
3. Prepare studies properly for interpreting physician
Patient and Equipment Safety
1. Clean and disinfect equipment according to protocol.
2. Recognize emergency situations related to EKG, cataplexy, seizure, respiratory events, etc.
3. Respond to emergency events in the correct manner according to CPR training and protocol.
4. Comply with Universal Infection Control Procedures.
5. Ensure safety and welfare of all patients, including those pediatric and psychiatric patients with special needs.
6. Monitor medication flow.
Supervisory Tasks
1. Monitors patients' NPSG as well as progress, making necessary corrections according to protocol and procedure.
2. Instruct, aid, appease, comfort, and monitor patients as needed.
3 Inform Regional Manager and/or Interpreting Physician of pertinent events during previous NPSGs (records or events demanding immediate
attention) monitors and updates Records Management.
3. Perform all necessary tasks to keep laboratory compliant with AASM standards
4. Maintain 10 CME hours per year.

While RST, RRT or RPSGT are preferred, experience NOT required. Associates degree in science field or higher required.
