Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test highly complex optoelectronic products Needs to be a detail oriented individual and have the ability to demonstrate fine motor skills Must be able to take and comprehend directions from simple to moderate complexity Adapt to constant changes necessary to complete the tasks at hand Maintain good and effective communication with management, engineering, and technician peers to continuously improve manufacturing yields and throughput Be flexible in daily routines in a fast paced manufacturing environment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Work in a high tech manufacturing team environment with little to no oversight Learn new skills, processes, and operations Knowledge of MS Windows operating system and MS Office software Must be willing to work over time when required

Education/Experience
2 yr. technical degree or equivalent experience preferred Background in optoelectronics manufacturing operations preferred

The candidate will perform final assembly and troubleshooting of scintillation products. The position requires knowledge of electronics assembly, experience, as well as communication and reasoning ability. Attention to safety and proper equipment operation, as well as the ability to work well with others will enable success in this role. Will be responsible for other duties as assigned and required by business needs.
* Soldering and installing components, units and printed circuit boards following specifications.
* Hardware preparation, troubleshooting, and performance testing
* Other essential duties and responsibilities related to the application and maintenance of electronics assembly skills.
* Interpret blueprints, sketches, schematics, drawings, work instructions, manuals, procedures, and/or specifications charts, and material safety data sheets.

Education:

Associate of Applied Science- Electronics Engineering Technology, Preferred

In lieu of a degree, additional work experience (electronics assembly, soldering, and troubleshooting experience) and/or trade school is acceptable. 3 to 5yrs

Work Experience:

1 to 3 yrs Prior experience in manufacturing environment

Entry Level Assemblers - Training Provided
Starting at $18.00 per hour. Plus Shift Differential.
2nd Shift Hours- 2:00pm-10:30pm
$1,000.00 New-hire only bonus effective after 30 days of Employment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements:
• Works with production /assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble connectors.
• Positions components manually or utilizing a small hand tool such as tweezers onto printed circuit boards.
• Occasionally operates simple equipment.
• Requires ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on highly repetitive tasks. Installs either fixed or turning hardware.
• Read worksheets, receive verbal instructions, and follow the sample boards to determine assembly duties.
• Twists bend, trims, strips, or files wire leads of components in boards to insert wire leads, using hand tools.
