PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as an electronics systems engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center South Florida Ocean Measurement Facility, (SFOMF). Applicant will work as part of a design, test, and evaluation team, but also work on data acquisition, software development, computer networks, and system design using LabVIEW.
Develop project plans and test plans and conduct land/ocean-based field tests/demonstrations of advanced sensor systems. Write test reports. Brief designs, test plans, and test reports to upper management and sponsors.
Support at-sea testing by conducting ship checks, planning for deployment and recovery of systems, coordinating field tests of hardware. Assist with back-deck operations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of hardware development experience
- Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in analog & digital circuit design
- Understanding of analog controls and signal conditioning amplifier design
- Understanding of circuit noise analysis and noise mitigation techniques
- Experience simulating amplifier circuits using SPICE
