Essential Functions:

Support/lead concept of operation development and requirements analysis, decomposition, and generation at various levels of the system Support/lead requirements traceability and development of test plans to cover requirements Support/lead integration and test of electronic warfare systems and related hardware/software/firmware subsystems/sub-components/products Support/lead data analysis and modeling and simulation to find underlying root cause of issue and/or to guide design Present work to multi-disciplinary team and internal/external customers


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience Ability to obtain Interim Secret Security Clearance, U.S. Citizenship required Hands-on experience with commercial RF/EE test equipment and devices (e.g. signal generator, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, network analyzer, attenuators, amplifiers, etc.) Experience generating requirements at various levels of the system and flowing down requirements to sub-systems/sub-components Experience with data analysis and/or modeling and simulation (e.g. with MATLAB/python) Experience working on aerospace/defense electronic systems (e.g. electronic warfare systems, radar, missile guidance, missile defense)


Preferred Additional Skills:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as an electronics systems engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center South Florida Ocean Measurement Facility, (SFOMF). Applicant will work as part of a design, test, and evaluation team, but also work on data acquisition, software development, computer networks, and system design using LabVIEW.

Develop project plans and test plans and conduct land/ocean-based field tests/demonstrations of advanced sensor systems. Write test reports. Brief designs, test plans, and test reports to upper management and sponsors.

Support at-sea testing by conducting ship checks, planning for deployment and recovery of systems, coordinating field tests of hardware. Assist with back-deck operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of hardware development experience
• Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in analog & digital circuit design
• Understanding of analog controls and signal conditioning amplifier design
• Understanding of circuit noise analysis and noise mitigation techniques
• Experience simulating amplifier circuits using SPICE
• Extensive schematic capture and PCB layout experience
• Understanding of power distribution topics, especially high voltage DC
• Knowledge of best practices with regards to hardware development, layout and circuit design
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, DVM, function generators, etc
• Experience with software tools such as LabVIEW, C/C++, or MATLAB
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Travel to other Navy sites may be required (occasionally)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.

**Unique Skills:**

+ Experience with the FAA (14 CFR Part 25) and/or EASA (CS-25) certification is required.

+ Experience with Data Concentration Networking and/or Integrated Modular Avionics is preferred.

+ Technical supplier management is preferred.

+ Understanding of DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 processes is preferred.

+ System integration lab and/or aircraft functional testing and troubleshooting experience is preferred.

+ ARP-4754A experience including requirements development, validation and verification is preferred.

+ Experience with IBM DOORS or other requirements management database is preferred.

**Other Requirements**
