What You'll Do: Lead the Commissioning Lifecycle (L2-L5) Oversee commissioning for all buildings on campus, verifying that contractual and technical requirements are met. Partner with stakeholders to ensure proper resource allocation, schedule alignment, and risk mitigation. Review submittals, inspections, schedules, and engineering documentation to anticipate and resolve issues early. Engage project leadership when critical challenges arise, driving timely solutions. Planning & Preparation Review commissioning requirements and confirm obligations for GC, EC, MC, and vendors. Evaluate QC/Cx inspections, LLE submittals, and engineering design to determine commissioning strategy. Organize the campus Cx team and lead the build kick-off process. Ensure OFCI coordination, including vendor communication, reporting expectations, and schedule integration. Support the development of commissioning procedures, turnover sequencing, temporary equipment needs, and overall commissioning milestones. Execution & On-Site Leadership Monitor adherence to commissioning requirements and procedures across all participants. Coordinate vendor involvement, training needs, and start-up/commissioning workflows. Attend mechanical/electrical completion and system handover meetings. Provide daily commissioning updates and weekly activity reports. Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and emergency response during commissioning. Maintain a forward-looking view of installation progress to keep the project on track. Project Tracking & Reporting Maintain and communicate campus-level delay logs and lessons learned. Generate reports covering L2-L5 progress, milestones, observations, and inspections. Ensure accurate and timely updates to leadership and project management. Team Leadership & Development Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for Cx Project Engineers, OFCI Coordinators, and support staff. Provide hands-on coaching during L2-L3 testing and IST execution. Monitor performance, address roadblocks, and support professional development and cross-training. Drive continuous improvement across tools, processes, and commissioning standards. Group: Investigative Position: Project Manager - Forensic Engineer/Architect Location: Cleveland or Akron, OH We are seeking engineers and architects that will be responsible for performing a wide range of forensic investigations related to damage and deterioration of structures, condition assessment studies for property owners and managers, and structural and building enclosure repair and rehabilitation design to existing facilities. The work includes evaluations of commercial, residential, industrial, utility infrastructure, and municipal projects. The Project Manager - Forensic Engineer/Architect will be responsible for managing all aspects of our investigation, assessment, and repair projects. The position requires direct daily contact with clients and staff in addition to production of technical documents. Therefore, strong oral and written communication skills are a must. The position offers the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team. Project responsibilities will vary based on the nature of the assignment and individual aptitudes. Applicants must possess experience in or the desire to learn the evaluation of entire structures (from foundations to roofing) as well as the investigation of failures and building problems. Position requires frequent local and occasional regional travel. Responsibilities Conducting and/or managing investigations, assessments, and expert witness assignments in order to prepare accurate technical reports and repair documents, and occasionally provide expert testimony Managing multiple assignments concurrently Delegating to, mentoring of, and directing other production staff for maximum productivity and profitability Developing repair design solutions for damaged and deteriorated structures Managing the billing process for assigned projects Meeting with existing and prospective clients to coordinate new project opportunities Preparing proposals, fee justifications, and contracts as needed in conjunction with the Team Leader and/or Group Leader Providing internal review of documents (reports, drawings, proposals, etc.) for other group members to ensure accurate, understandable, and consistent production of high-quality documents Physical Requirements Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs Ability/willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, access crawl spaces and other areas of limited accessibility Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architecture from an accredited engineering or architecture school; Other degrees will be considered based on relevant experience Registered Professional Engineer, NCARB Registered Architect, or similar industry licensure/certification 5+ years' experience AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plus Prior design and/or investigation experience preferred Proficient with MS Office applications Valid driver's license and reliable means of personal transportation to and from office location

    The Sr. Manager, Electrical Engineering will be responsible for defining, standardizing, and advancing the methodologies, tools, and workflows used in the design and development of power electronics and electrical systems across Core Engineering. This role will be critical to ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability of electrical design practices across global teams. The position reports to the Senior Director, Core Engineering Services and collaborates closely with product development, simulation, compliance, and manufacturing engineering teams. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH campus location. Responsibilities: Lead the selection, deployment, and governance of electrical design tools and platforms (e.g., ECAD, simulation, schematic capture, wiring harness design). Define and maintain global standards for electrical system design processes, documentation, and validation workflows. Partner with product teams to ensure tools and processes align with evolving technology and business needs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical design enablement, including training, onboarding, and best practices dissemination. Collaborate with IT and software vendors to manage tool licenses, upgrades, and integrations (e.g., with PLM or MCAD systems). Represent electrical engineering in cross-functional forums related to digital thread, design automation, and compliance readiness. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 10+ years of experience in electrical system design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or technical governance role. Deep understanding of power electronics, electrical distribution, and system-level design principles. Experience in design of infrastructure equipment for data centers or other high-reliability or mission-critical systems (e.g., industrial power, aerospace). Proven experience with ECAD tools (e.g., EPLAN, Creo Schematic), simulation platforms (e.g., SPICE, PLECS), and PLM systems (e.g., Oracle PD Cloud). Strong background in process development, tool deployment, and cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with standards such as IEC, UL, or IEEE relevant to electrical system design. Exposure to global engineering operations and tool harmonization across regions. Strong communication and demonstrated change management skills. Strategic thinker with a bias for action and results. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects, including both planned development efforts and ongoing system and tool maintenance. Solid understanding of full product lifecycle management. A basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma concepts is required, and formal DFx training or a Six Sigma Green Belt is advantageous. Demonstrated understanding of business operation is required, with demonstrated success in managing team and project budgets. Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English. Willingness to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally. Travel commitments of up to 25% of business days may be required.
