**Job Summary**
We are currently seeking a **Circuit Card Assembly/Electronics Inspector** to support our National Security Business Unit, where Battelle is involved in the design, development, prototyping, and manufacturing of defense related items. This position is located in **Columbus, Ohio** .
The **Circuit Card Assembly/Electronics Inspector** reports to the Quality Manager, Performance Excellence and is primarily responsible to: perform visual inspection of complex circuit card assemblies to IPC-610 requirements; Performs in process and outgoing inspections of avionics products including wire harnesses to IPC-610; reviews documentation for accuracy; audits work processes; supports continual improvement.
**Responsibilities**
+ Performs visual inspection of printed circuit board assemblies to the IPC-610 standard/J-STD-001
+ Performs visual inspection of cable assemblies to IPC-620 standards
+ Performs visual inspection of product under a microscope
+ May contribute to client reports or prepare client reports under close supervision
+ May support other inspection and test activities associated with circuit card assembly including running in circuit testing or automated optical inspection
**Key Qualifications**
+ Associates degree in engineering or related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience building and/or inspecting Circuit Cards to J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610
+ Experience inspecting wire harnesses to IPC-620
+ Solid knowledge of ESD control
+ Experience working in a production environment under ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards
+ Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings, inspection procedures, and work instructions
+ Working knowledge and understanding of measurement methodologies and techniques
+ Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
+ Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
ASME Section VIII and B31.3 code knowledge required
Candidate should have at least LVL 1 training in VT/PT/UT/MT and RT Film Interpretation
Must be meticulous about capturing and retaining information
Must have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Record-keeping software, etc.)
Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to explain issues in a professional manner

Provide Quality services and support for all missions assigned to a manufacturing or warehouse site while ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.

Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria

Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects
Read and follow work instructions and general processes
Use measuring or testing equipment as needed
Ensure products meet quality standards

Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies
