What is an electronics sales associate and how to become one

An electronics sales associate works in the electronics department of a store or in an electronics store using their expertise in electronics to sell electronics to customers. They are responsible for greeting customers as they come in and inquire as to their choices of electronic goods, lead customers to designated aisle/shelves for their specified items, provide customers with information regarding customer product features and benefits, and demonstrate features by employing knowledge of gadgets and technology. They make sure that pricing information is kept current and that customers are made aware of discounts and promotions and arrange for electronic products to be delivered to customer's offices or homes.

An electronic sales associate needs to have retail sales experience, a professional appearance, maintain a positive attitude, and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. They have the ability to stand for long hours, technical, computer, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

An associate's degree or high school diploma/GED is necessary. On average, they earn $47,536 a year which translates to $22.85 an hour.
