Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $38,700 - $58,100. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Install, repair, align, maintain, service and/or tune the following: radio, radar, microwave electronic communication systems receivers and transmitters, including analog and digital HF, UHF and VHF equipment; intercom audio panels and audio amplifiers and public address systems. Locate and isolate defects in electronic equipment; repair, replace, and troubleshoot defective parts; install electronic units and associated electrical elements.
Utilizing special tools, circuit testers, meters and equipment; performs tests and/or checks as required to confirm component and system serviceability.
Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records.
Maintains work areas and tools in a clean and organized manner, practices proper tool and FOD control.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is preferred.
Requires 3+ years' experience performing line and bench maintenance on a variety of aircraft avionics communication/navigation radio repair systems and components.
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred (Airframe license is equivalent to 1 year experience; Powerplant license is equivalent to 1 year experience; A&P license is equivalent to 2 years' experience).
Requires knowledge of standard wiring practices using contact crimp tools, inserting/extracting tools, wire stripping methods, connective types and contacts; experience with wire routing requirements.
Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks; general mechanics hand tools and appropriate tool box are required.
CH-47 or CH-46 specific experience preferred; Military or commercial aviation avionics training preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The technician ensures proper installation and operation of designated Astec products including installation, commissioning startup, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Technicians will consult with engineering to analyze and remedy problems and to train the customer employees in proper maintenance and operational tasks for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Deliverables & Responsibilities

· Conducts operator skills training for selected customer employees including but not limited to start up sequence, troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical basics, and control systems operations.
· Generates written field service reports for daily activities; submit reports as required.
· Coordinate and communicate with Astec sales, engineering, and manufacturing groups for product or process issues, including warranty, design recommendations, and reporting of any/all damage to equipment during shipment or installation.
· Work closely with the Functional Leadership, Product Support Managers, and Office Support Staff to ensure accurate service reports, and associated billing.
· Be available for emergency dispatch; 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to support our customers and staff.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); some previous work-related experience is a plus; or a combination of education and experience equivalent as deemed sufficient by management.
· Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields
· Prefer 5 years of experience in the HMA, Concrete, or Combustion Industries
· Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits
· Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and electronics blueprints and designs.
· Knowledge of circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other power transmission equipment
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally at a moment's notice.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection. Purpose of Job:
The Senior Test Technician is responsible for conducting prescribed tests on technically complex electronic equipment and troubleshooting failures to the component level in a production environment using PC based tools.
Responsibilities:
Performs functional and operational tests on circuit boards and chassis in a fast-paced production environment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards and systems down to the component level.
Support hardware validation and verification activities during development and production phases.
Interpret schematics PCP and Layouts, to diagnosed failures accurately.
Troubleshoot products using oscilloscopes and digital volt meters.
