Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs competent break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to determine root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; and performing troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.

· Documents work performed in service reports, and applicable management systems.
· Performs routine processes with and within industrial control systems to troubleshoots and analyzes complex equipment, perform equipment maintenance, and to resolve equipment problems.
· Utilizes in-depth application of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
· Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.
· Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

You Will:
Repair and maintain conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.

Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment.
Read, use, and update shop prints and manufacturer's manuals for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems.
Follow all plant and corporate safety and food safety procedures.
Create and close out work orders and add specs info to SAP system.
You Have:

Basic job functions

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking an entry-level construction engineering technician who will report to the Construction Manager. Daily work activities will include coordination between Inspector Resident Project Representatives (RPRs), Project Engineers, and Project Managers. You will assist in training and overseeing inspection staff to ensure project time, cost management, documentation, communication, risk management, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance and oversight to construction inspectors and assist with job site inspection as-needed.
Assist with facilitating and conducting regularly scheduled construction meetings.
Coordinate with contractors to schedule inspection activities and help resolve design and field issues.
Assist with project management for technical and cost efforts to meet deadlines and budgets.
Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify their conformance to specifications.
Ensure federal, state, and local regulations for construction procedures and safe working conditions.
Qualifications/Skills
B.S. or Technology Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Understanding of bidding, estimating, and risk assessment
Ability to read/interpret project drawings and specifications
Ability to multitask and carry out projects with tight deadlines
Ability to travel and a valid driver's license is required
Familiarity with federally funded infrastructure is a plus
Experience with Procore is a plus
Strong work ethic and organizational skills

Position Brand Description:
The Engineering Technician supports the day-to-day operation of the ETC (Engineering Technology Center) Process Engineering Laboratory (PEL) including compliance with applicable Lilly policies, interacting with supported or supporting agencies, and providing key input or feedback regarding laboratory operations.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
1. Plan and manage individual workload to meet customer requirements for the ETC PEL by the day-to-day running of laboratory experiments. Networks supported include, but are not limited to LRL, Large Molecule Network, Small Molecule Network, Peptides/Oligos/Insulin Network, Dry Product Network, Parenteral Network and CMOs.
2. Apply good laboratory practices and expertise in running design of experiments and assembling lab models of manufacturing process technologies and unit operations using standard Lilly procedures, protocols and methods.
3. Provide support and leadership on all aspects relating to lab safety, operation of laboratory equipment and general housekeeping, and maintenance of laboratory facilities.
4. Ensure lab is in compliance with Lilly policies.
5. Provide thorough and compliant documentation of laboratory experiments and data gathering through lab notebooks.
6. Assists laboratory engineers and subject matter experts in the preparation and review of technical reports and other supporting documentation.
7. Develops interactions and partnerships within PEL and other laboratories, analytical and other support groups for efficiencies and effectiveness of their laboratory activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Good computer skills.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Self-starter capable of working independently with limited direction and guidance.
Mechanically oriented with strong hands-on capability.
Three or more years of experience in manufacturing, or in a laboratory or pilot plant setting.
Experience with processing and/or analytical instruments and equipment preferred.
