Job Description Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement. Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material. Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments. Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc. Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering. Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant. Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. Willingness to work overtime as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of a High School Education. Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired 2+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams. An understanding of electrical currents. Highly motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks. The Electronic Technician will modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls and will assist in developing new or updated electronic systems, components, or products. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required: Coordinate and maintain oversight of product flow through tests and products returned for repair.
