Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and complete preventative maintenance on Ground Service Equipment (both motorized and non-motorized)
Work will include diagnostic testing and repair of gas engines, transmissions, suspension and brake systems
Troubleshooting and repair of diesel engines, heavy industrial equipment, including large aircraft air conditioners, air start and ground electrical power units
Ground Service Equipment Technicians are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)
Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority
Salary increases will be administered according to the current IBT/United contract
New employees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days of employment
There is an initiation fee for joining the union and subsequent monthly union dues which are set by the Local Lodge
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
24 months of experience with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of gas and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and motorized equipment
Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Must possess a valid state issued driver's license
Ability to work any shift assigned (nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed) within 24/7 operation
Ability to climb and work from ladders, and/or walk for extended periods
Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
Ability to work in an environment with exposure to high noise levels
Moderate lifting
Computer experience for input and retrieval of data

· Document equipment and tools issues, maintenance records, tooling logs and asset recording
· Order parts and supplies as needed to support production
· Provide day to day tool and equipment support to production
· Work with Production and Process Engineering to determine and recommend tool and equipment needs
· Provide training to production and Process Engineering personnel as needed
Qualifications:
· Typically requires 2+ years of related experience, and prefer Associates degree or 4 years of related experience
· Proficient in MS/Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Mechanical aptitude, good with tools and working with your hands
· Ability to lift 25lbs consistently
· Work with precision tooling in small places
· Understanding of general safety guidelines and practices
· General knowledge of electro-mechanical functionality

Position Summary
The Engineering Technician at our Concord, NC facility plays a key role in supporting Parenteral Operations, our customer, by ensuring the efficient setup and operation of Pre-Filled Syringe and Isolator Equipment. This position requires hands-on engineering maintenance expertise to assist with equipment setup, operational support, troubleshooting, repairs, and ongoing maintenance.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of customer needs, collaborate effectively with internal teams, and provide responsive, courteous support. Success in this role requires technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote a safety-first, quality-always culture in all tasks and interactions
* Improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
* Perform condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and provide operational support
* Diagnose and repair precision filling equipment with strong mechanical aptitude
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment issues promptly
* Assist with equipment setup and changeovers to support production needs
* Adhere to all GMP and quality standards
* Must have the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose the root cause of a problem and properly implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
* Accurately document maintenance activities and corrective actions
* Support cross-functional tasks and assist outside primary responsibilities as needed
* Work independently and manage priorities under pressure
Basic Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in production maintenance
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
* Proficient with basic hand tools
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision
* Familiarity with safety protocols and proper PPE usage
* Physically able to stand for extended periods
* Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field is a plus
* Knowledge of FDA and GMP regulations
* Experience operating high-speed, automated production equipment, preferably Syringe/Vial Filling systems utilizing Isolator technology
* Ability to quickly learn and apply new procedures
* Experience working in a classified manufacturing environment
* Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) platforms
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
* Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities

* Flexibility to work overtime or adjust schedule based on production demands
* Following a Monday-Friday, 8-hour training period, the role transitions to a 12-hour 2-2-3-night shift schedule

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$21.27 - $46.88

While assigned to the Advanced Light Source, perform complex technical support in the field of electronics fabrication and installation in an accelerator environment.
Determine methods and procedures on layouts, fabrication and installation of a broad variety of custom electronics hardware, including chassis fabrication, wiring, cabling, printed circuit board loading and equipment installation.
Perform measurements and calculations necessary to achieve desired results.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a skilled specialist, using considerable judgement and initiative, fabricate and/or install complex electronics hardware including chassis, instruments, printed circuit boards, cables, wiring harnesses, equipment racks and consoles, and control and instrumentation cross-connect / inter-connect cabling systems. Understand implications of tasks and makes recommendations to achieve goals.
Exp in hand-hold power tools is a huge plus.
Electrical safety experience
Operate a large variety of hand, power, and machine tools of the trade.
Read and interpret schematics, sketches, parts lists, and component layout diagrams.
Follow generalized written or verbal instructions. Select appropriate components, packaging enclosures and manufacturing techniques and procedures. Implement appropriate codes and standards associated with the trade.
Interact with engineers, designers and electronics coordinators on matters relating to finished product design, technical performance and documentation criteria. Provide input to cost estimates and production/installation scheduling.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Substantial technical understanding of electronics fabrication and installation techniques, procedures, codes and quality standards.
Substantial work experience in fabricating and installing the full spectrum of general electronics hardware and systems.
