Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.

This is a results focused role: quality, speed, and ownership are the fundamentals. You own your cell, your tools, your output and the standard of work. VMR Strategic Solutions is seeking an Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS) Engineering Technician to add to our team. The ideal candidate will install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at company and client sites. You will perform or coordinate test and evaluation, checkout, and certification tasks of AN/BVY-1 systems. You will also perform validations/verification of various electronic systems related to the operation of the ISIS System and Photonics Mast Variants (PMV) to include Mast Technical Insertion (MTI) and Low-Profile Photonics Mast (LPPM).
Duties:
Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), Technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
Train others in the operation and performance of the system(s).
Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent
Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Graduate of ISIS maintenance course A-102-0388
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance

About this Opportunity:
This position plans and performs engineering, design, and other technical/administrative tasks involved in the concept, development, and industrialization of products and processes throughout operations with minimum supervision.
Responsibilities:
Handles varying degrees of complex mechanical, electrical & electronics assignments including solid state control systems, AC & DC drives, servo motors, device calibrations & voltages up to 480VAC.
Monitor equipment performance & reacts to sub-standard performance & emergency repair needs. Install debugs & makes modifications to new installations.
Efficiently operates across diverse assignments including all types of Planned and Unplanned work.
Proficient use of computer, including all Windows based program, electrical & electronics test equipment, most hand tools & precision measuring instruments.
Proficient with electrical drawing software (i.e., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) used in design and build systems to support automated equipment.
Able to understand & work from schematics, programming language, sketches, written & verbal instruction & complete assignments under minimal supervision.

Use correct P.P.E per JHA's and Job Descriptions; required to wear safety shoes with the standard F2412 and F2413 rating. Individuals trained in NFPA 70E Arc Flash are required to ware electrical hazard safety shoes with the F2412 and F2413EH rating.
Required to work overtime/alternate schedules as business need dictate.

Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with minimal supervision.
Associate of Science degree in related Engineering field for 3 years equivalent Industrial and/or military electronics background or possess a valid State of CT. E-1 Electrical Unlimited Contractor License.
Basic skills in engineering computer software, engineering methodology, and test equipment.
Good communication, interpersonal skills and report writing ability.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to do basic math in all units or measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, automated machinery, robotics, conveyors, and control systems.
Perform basic diagnostic tests on mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems.
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
Work under the guidance of senior technicians (Tech II,III) to resolve technical issues.
