General Functions & Scope
Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining high-speed production and packaging equipment, serving as a technical resource for electrical motors, drives, and major components. This role requires working knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, and materials used within the mechanical trades, along with hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting production equipment. Key Accountabilities
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. This includes following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications, as well as troubleshooting malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation, listening for irregularities, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examines the form and condition of parts.
Determines dimensional changes in parts by inspecting used components and utilizing measurement tools such as rules, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and generating purchase requisitions.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
Provides mechanical and electrical maintenance information and prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains technical knowledge through educational workshops, technical publications, and professional networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications / Competencies
Electrical Journeyman's Papers are required, with the ability and desire to attain Master Electrician Papers. Key competencies include equipment maintenance, technical understanding, adaptability in uncertain environments, electrical safety knowledge, proficiency with power tools, attention to detail, flexibility, supervision, job knowledge, and productivity.
Physical Demands
While performing job duties, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The role requires occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The employee works in a standard manufacturing environment with a moderate noise level. Occasionally, duties may be performed in hot, dusty, or cramped areas. Additional personal protective equipment may be required.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position requiring shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Some flexibility in hours is allowed; however, availability during scheduled shifts is required. Shift hours are established by department managers or supervisors.

Basic/Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age; be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions; successful candidates must possess First Class Instrument Mechanic work experience and First Class Instrument Mechanic skills. Five (5) years equivalent experience in a refinery, or petrochemical operations is preferred. Interested individuals must also hold a valid driver's license; hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have computer skills (Microsoft office/Outlook) and have experience in other systems such as SAP. Individuals must be eligible to qualify or hold a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC card).

Must be willing to perform/comply with the following: read and interpret Schematic Drawings, Wiring and Interconnect Diagrams, Loop Drawings, P&ID's, Process Flow Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, and ISA symbols; troubleshooting, installing, calibrating: repairing and maintaining flow, level, pressure, differential pressure, and temperature transmitters, transducers, controllers, control valves, regulators; maintains Allen-Bradley PLC's, Foxboro Distributed Control Systems - I/A Series, GSI tank level gauging, and safety interlocks; working with diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter and megger; and be willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift, which includes some weekends and holidays, and must be willing to work overtime, which at times may be mandatory.
Interested individuals must have the ability to coordinate work, function as a member of a team to get work done; perform tasks in any craft as incidental work; and participate in training programs to maintain and/or upgrade skills. Must have working knowledge of equipment and tools required to expedite the efficient installation and repair of refinery equipment. Candidate must have the physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform physically-active assignments including work on high structures and within confined spaces. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.

Your key responsibilities are to:

Experience and Education:

The role of a measurement technician is to ensure the integrity and reliability of natural gas and/or oil meters, measurement recording, and gas/oil sampling equipment, to perform operations, and maintenance at metering facilities. Must follow company policy and procedures and be in compliance with applicable DOT regulations.
Scope and Magnitude: Tests, calibrates, operates, maintains, inspects electronic and mechanical flow meters, and obtains gas/oil samples. Communicate at a technical level and interface with measurement, operations, and engineering groups. Assist in the field and/or pipeline operations and maintenance functions. Utilize basic computer skills to use e-mail, meter test, data collection software and hardware, and complete electronic reports.
Primary Responsibilities
Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, and calibrate electronic flow meters, associated measurement and communications equipment, control, and relief valves.
Witness testing and calibration of 3rd party meters.
Collect gas/oil samples.
Maintain typical pipeline equipment, basic measurement equipment, valves, etc.
Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of pipeline facilities in accordance with company procedures/policies and DOT regulations.
Must complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters.
Must have people skills and task prioritizing skills.
Physical Requirements
Able to react to potentially dangerous situations quickly and appropriately
Able to stand, walk, lift to 50 lbs., bend, have visual acuity, hearing and speaking
Able to climb 20-foot-high ladders and stairwells
Able to work in hot and cold weather
Additional Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Two plus years of noninterrupted experience in gas measurement trade.
Must be able to respond in a timely manner to task at hand when on-call. Available for 24-hour standby and emergency response.
Must participate as needed in working overtime on evenings and weekends.
Ability to perform essential duties in an environment that entails a variety of weather conditions.
