**Primary Function:**
Repair and align a variety of equipment used in the manufacturing and testing of semi-conductors.
Maintain in working order assembly & packaging, diffusion, mask making, wafer processing, high vacuum & photo-processing equipment used in the fabricating and testing of semi-conductor wafers, chips and substrates. Review information such as manufacturers specifications, operations manuals, drawings, wiring, wring diagrams, schematics and the like. Analyze equipment performance to determine causes of malfunctions using available test equipment.

Role Description:
Instrumentation Technician II performs a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance of electronic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical instrumentation. Fabricates, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains instruments. Assists with modifications and upgrades of instruments and computer control systems. Diagnoses and corrects telemetry problems of computer control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Assists in the maintenance of SCADA systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and institutes procedures and plans associated with routine and emergency repairs. Conducts diverse tests to validate effectiveness of control process systems.
Establishes quality assurance and safety procedures that adhere to industry standards and specifications.
Performs first-line diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairing of equipment at the major assembly level to the component level. Designs, installs, and provides technical support in process control and operational systems.
Serves as system control and engineering technician liaison with DC Water staff, consultants and contractors.
Troubleshoots and repairs computer equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Sets up, installs, and maintains audio video projection systems. Installs and maintains SCADA systems, radios, and process control automation.
Utilizes network technology by desktop and laptop computers, PLC's and SCADA systems to acquire data, control and monitor systems.
Complies with applicable safety rules and regulations.

Filamatic is seeking an Electrical Technician as part of our production team who will be primarily responsible wiring the industrial machinery as it is being built by the production team. You will work alongside our assemblers and technicians to build our OEM industrial machinery in preparation for our customers to come onsite for the field acceptance testing. Working under both general and detailed instructions you will wire the panels and machines, as well as assist in any testing and troubleshooting required.
Our machines are capable of dispensing from microliters to gallons at speeds of up to 250 containers per minute. You will utilize technical drawing packages, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control software fabrication of new automated filling and capping machinery.
Responsibilities
Configure and layout wire runs between panel and machine. Review drawings: make corrections, additions and wire number list.
Configure machine, main enclosures and junction boxes. May involve drilling and tapping, mounting, punching holes, bending conduit and use of plasma cutter.
Wire panels and machine: mount components to panels and wire according to drawings and verbal communication; label and install cables to components and pull back to panel for interconnection to ensure neatly labeled panels and cables.
Perform I/O check out on machine, turning power on each machine and check each device wired to the PLC. Set electrical component dip switches and variables.
Troubleshooting electrical issues: applying electrical knowledge, using electronic measuring equipment and schematics.
Manage electrical inventory.
Job related paperwork: time scanning, updated BOM, service visits, etc.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Associates degree with specialization in industrial electrics or a four (4) years electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
At least five 3 years experience in an automated industrial electrical environment.
Full knowledge of NEC, working knowledge of NFPA 70, AC, DC and Servo motor controls.
Ability to read, interpret and follow electrical schematics, troubleshoot and work with live circuitry.
Ability to use measuring tool, hand, power and air tools.
Manual dexterity, eye/hand coordination, ability to bend, stoop, stand or kneel for long period of time.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Job Overview
Facilitates the repair and maintenance of all UPS and switchgear systems. The Switchgear Technician will provide for the daily (UPS) uninterrupted power supply and switchgear maintenance operations for all assigned facilities. Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Assists with scheduling and maintenance of all airframe switchgear breakers.
* Troubleshoots repairs, replaces and performs electrical/electronic maintenance on UPS and switchgear Save equipment operating at less than 600 volts.
* Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and service calls on Uninterrupted Power Supplies, switchgears and associated batteries.
* Prepares large scale outage events. Duties will include, but not limited to: walkouts, temporary power requirements, impact determination and updating one-line drawings.
* Coordinates work of vendor and act as subject matter expert for all third-party requirements.
* As required, performs periodic tours on UPS and switchgear equipment operating at voltages less than 600 volts. Maintain required log records.
* Provides maintenance, emergency response, and equipment start-up and/or field modification.
* Discusses with technical support problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment.
* Interpret wiring diagrams in order to locate failures.
* Performs required tours of all fuel storage tanks on campus and respond to fuel alarms as needed.

* Plans and organizes work to meet all deadlines. Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day.

Key Responsibilities:

The Brandywine Power Facility (Brandywine) is a 230-megawatt natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility located in Prince George's County, MD. The project operates in the PJM power market as a merchant facility. Brandywine became commercially operational in October 1996. Brandywine has two GE 7EA DLN1 gas turbines with Nooter Eriksen HRSGs and a single GE steam turbine.
THE CHALLENGE
This position performs instrument, control and electrical maintenance functions to ensure safe, environmentally compliant operation of a combined-cycle power plant. Employees provide technical and analytical services essential to the control systems and associated equipment (electronic, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic) and electrical maintenance (LV/MV/HV) and associated equipment. These systems include digital control system, control circuits, power circuits, electrical and control devices on plant equipment. Employees will participate in the plant maintenance program as a system owner and document plant maintenance records in a computer-based work management system.

Monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing the plant's electrical, controls and instrumentation systems as assigned including specification and initiation of purchase requisitions on assigned systems/equipment including ability to safely apply lock-out tag-out process on owned equipment/systems or other equipment and/or systems when performing maintenance.
Responsible for electrical maintenance on equipment greater than 600 volts and a backup responsibility for less than 600 volts.
Conduct job safety briefings (JSB) at turnover and perform quality JSB's for each job.
Shall be capable of verifying absence of voltage on all systems (DC through 125V and AC through 345kV) utilizing appropriate meters or non-contact detectors.
Ability to wire and unwire motors and other components as needed during outage and other maintenance related activities.
Capable of troubleshooting of various electrical circuits (contactors, motor starters, ability to recognize single phasing on motors, lighting circuits, etc.) and communicate the cause of protective relay trips and repair initiating problems where applicable in accordance with NERC standards.
Partnering on a System Ownership team with other IC&E Technicians, Operations Technicians, Management and Engineering. This includes support and input into the following: PLC/Ovation/Controls programming and troubleshooting, prioritize / monitor and review system health indicators, optimize system performance, maintenance strategy for each system, budget, spare parts, outage planning, purchase requisitions, training of systems, labeling, system procedure development/improvement, updating system documentation in plant records and in the computer based work management system, present system health presentation to management annually and project management of system improvements as needed.
For Preventive (PM) or Corrective Maintenance (CM) work, it is expected that the boundaries of system ownership are removed, and the work duties are shared and completed in a collaborative team manner, not only by the system owner(s).
Required to work alongside, assist or perform some minor oversight of other work groups conducting site maintenance including but not limited to contractors, vendors or similar as needed during major overhauls or large equipment maintenance.
Operate various mobile equipment including but not limited to: forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers and/or similar equipment.
Capable of performing rigging equipment inspections, rigging of loads associated with maintenance activities including use of plant installed cranes, jibs or similar.
Will be required to actively participate in training and retraining programs as directed by Plant Management.
Will be required to function under written operating and maintenance procedures as required by Plant Management.
Respond promptly to emergency call outs when necessary.

THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
Two years or more, electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair or equivalent required.
Two years or more, experience in electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation and process controls for power plants required.
Experience with digital control systems, PLCs, Siemens T3000, CEMS, and Emerson Ovation Control System & GE MK5 or MK6.
Operations experience desirable.
2-Year College/Technical Degree in electronics or instrumentation, plus electrical certification, or company approved equivalent for IC&E level I (e.g. Military, EM/ET training).
Experience in combined-cycle operations preferred.
Experience with industrial troubleshooting and maintenance preferred.
Knowledge of equipment operating limits, parameters, operating procedures and systems. Performs corrective actions if limits are exceeded.

Job Description
The R&D Technician I performs a wide variety of tasks in support of the Global Engineering team's technology and innovation initiatives under the direction of the R&D lab lead. The role works in a team environment to support the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the R&D Lab including the test facility, equipment, tools and instrumentation. Responsible for safely assembling and modifying evaporative heat transfer equipment and components under the direction of R&D Lab Lead. Conducts all aspects of the evaporative thermal test process.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Piping and instrumentation of evaporative heat transfer equipment for thermal, sound and vibration testing
Installation and monitoring of sensors and various measurement devices associated with product tests
Generation of accurate and detailed test reports to communicate test results to various internal customers
Assist with the preventive maintenance and upkeep of the R&D laboratory facilities and equipment
Safely assemble and disassemble evaporative heat transfer equipment and components
Demonstrate thermal testing concepts and develop the essential mechanical, electrical and computer skills necessary for successful completion of Global Engineering test projects
NATURE AND SCOPE
The R&D Tech I reports to the R&D Lab Supervisor. This role interfaces with multiple engineering teams and the production environment.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED required. Technical trade schools highly desired.
2 years+ of experience in the mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades preferred
Demonstrated efficiency in use of hand tools, power tools, powered lift trucks and platform scissor-lifts preferred
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical concepts
Good written and oral communication skills; strong team player
Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft products and data collection spreadsheets
Self Directed and ability to work with minimal supervision.
