JOB SUMMARY
Under Minimum supervision, the Equipment Tech responds to calls for respiratory therapy equipment and compressed gas cylinders needs throughout the hospital. Responsible for the delivery of compressed gas cylinders, maintenance of respiratory care equipment and support of the respiratory care services staff. Performs all duties that are required of a respiratory care support services technician. Oversees and indirectly manages student tech activities within the department. Also, ensures that all tech services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of administrative, secretarial and complex clerical duties for the team. Follows complex oral and written instructions, uses independent judgment and word processing software, follows established office procedures and is familiar with departmental and hospital policies. Performs various clerical and administrative duties depending on administrators needs which may include collecting and preparing data for management assignments, reports and presentations and assisting with monitoring department QI/PI initiatives. Appropriately direct calls takes accurate messages or responds to calls by utilizing knowledge of policies procedures and practices. Works to support audiovisual needs of the dept and produces educational videos and power points for staff meetings, educational events and QI/PI tracking initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
Technical Tasks:
Maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks. Which can include but is not limited to - diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment (tires, electronics, motors).
Carrying out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure. Monitoring and servicing our internal systems, running tests and completing reports, and completing updates or improvements to existing systems as appropriate.
Perform root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and systematically develop a solution to prevent/solve underlying issues.
Operational Tasks:
Accurately document all tasks/partner or internal messaging related to service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications/tools.
Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing accurate spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location after use.
Work with our engineering team to identify any potential improvements regarding robot health and design.
Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients.
Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A passion for robots and innovative technologies.
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field.
Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial, but not required.
Good knowledge regarding mechanics, electronics, and IT.

Self-starter; takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently.
Experience & Education Requirements:

Your Role:
Perform complex troubleshooting and full range of radio communications technician assignments.
Assist and perform ground-based radio communications systems planning, system design, implementation, installation, assistance, and problem solving.
Install, test, and maintain base station, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), and point-to-point radio communications systems.
Remove legacy equipment, install new two-way LMR systems, cabling, and other communications equipment.
Ensure RF frequencies and equipment are properly evaluated and approved according to state, federal or foreign industry standards.
Your Travel Logistics and After-Action Activities, Work Schedule, and Uplifts and Overtime:
You will travel 8-12 times per year, usually for 2-3 weeks per assignment.
When you return you will debrief, write your trip report, complete your expense report, and plan for your next trip while providing assistance to other radio techs in the field.
While in the Springfield, VA office, you will coordinate with the on-site Progam Manager to set a flexible work schedule not to exceed 40 hours per week.
International work schedules may be dictated by the location traveling but will only exceed 40 hours if approved in writing in advance.
Uplifts will vary based on the field location according to State Dept. requirements.
If necessary and approved in advance, overtime will be paid based on your time worked.

This position performs instrument, control and electrical maintenance functions to ensure safe, environmentally compliant operation of a combined-cycle power plant. Employees provide technical and analytical services essential to the control systems and associated equipment (electronic, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic) and electrical maintenance (LV/MV/HV) and associated equipment. These systems include digital control system, control circuits, power circuits, electrical and control devices on plant equipment. Employees will participate in the plant maintenance program as a system owner and document plant maintenance records in a computer-based work management system.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing the plant's electrical, controls and instrumentation systems as assigned including specification and initiation of purchase requisitions on assigned systems/equipment including ability to safely apply lock-out tag-out process on owned equipment/systems or other equipment and/or systems when performing maintenance.
Responsible for electrical maintenance on equipment greater than 600 volts and a backup responsibility for less than 600 volts.
Conduct job safety briefings (JSB) at turnover and perform quality JSB's for each job.
Shall be capable of verifying absence of voltage on all systems (DC through 125V and AC through 345kV) utilizing appropriate meters or non-contact detectors.
Ability to wire and unwire motors and other components as needed during outage and other maintenance related activities.
Capable of troubleshooting of various electrical circuits (contactors, motor starters, ability to recognize single phasing on motors, lighting circuits, etc.) and communicate the cause of protective relay trips and repair initiating problems where applicable in accordance with NERC standards.
Partnering on a System Ownership team with other IC&E Technicians, Operations Technicians, Management and Engineering. This includes support and input into the following: PLC/Ovation/Controls programming and troubleshooting, prioritize / monitor and review system health indicators, optimize system performance, maintenance strategy for each system, budget, spare parts, outage planning, purchase requisitions, training of systems, labeling, system procedure development/improvement, updating system documentation in plant records and in the computer based work management system, present system health presentation to management annually and project management of system improvements as needed.
For Preventive (PM) or Corrective Maintenance (CM) work, it is expected that the boundaries of system ownership are removed, and the work duties are shared and completed in a collaborative team manner, not only by the system owner(s).
Required to work alongside, assist or perform some minor oversight of other work groups conducting site maintenance including but not limited to contractors, vendors or similar as needed during major overhauls or large equipment maintenance.
Operate various mobile equipment including but not limited to: forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers and/or similar equipment.
Capable of performing rigging equipment inspections, rigging of loads associated with maintenance activities including use of plant installed cranes, jibs or similar.
Will be required to actively participate in training and retraining programs as directed by Plant Management.
Will be required to function under written operating and maintenance procedures as required by Plant Management.
Respond promptly to emergency call outs when necessary.
Must be available for night, overtime, weekend, and holiday work as required.
May be required to support job responsibilities as needed outside of scheduled work hours.
Occasional travel may be required.

THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
Two years or more, electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair or equivalent required.
Two years or more, experience in electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation and process controls for power plants required.
Experience with digital control systems, PLCs, Siemens T3000, CEMS, and Emerson Ovation Control System desired.
Operations experience desirable.
2-Year College/Technical Degree in electronics or instrumentation, plus electrical certification, or company approved equivalent for IC&E level I (e.g. Military, EM/ET training).
Experience in combined-cycle operations preferred.
Experience with industrial troubleshooting and maintenance preferred.
Knowledge of equipment operating limits, parameters, operating procedures and systems. Performs corrective actions if limits are exceeded.
Working knowledge of simple cycle power plant system, power plant operations, and maintenance, electrical principles, work practices, procedures and materials.
Ability to interpret control drawings and P&IDs.
Ability to make maintenance-related decisions with minimum direct supervision.
Knowledge of instrumentation test equipment, signal generators, relay test sets, oscilloscopes and computers.
Knowledge of industry related CEM System hardware, software, and reporting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn.
Strong mechanical aptitude with an advanced understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics.
