Essential Skills + Troubleshooting + Understanding of GD&T and ISO standards + Two-year degree in a related field or a minimum of five years of experience in a related field + Three plus years of experience in understanding drawings, applicable test specifications, GD&T, and dimensional layouts + Knowledge of gage calibration + Familiarity with Proficiency Testing, neutral salt spray, sample preparation (cutting, mounting, polishing, etching) + Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO:2017 standards + A2La Laboratory experience + Experience in the metals industry Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency with metrology methods utilizing an array of inspection equipment Work Environment The work environment is primarily lab-based, attached to a distribution and office setting. This role provides a great opportunity for gaining mechanical lab experience in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment, electronics, and defense. The primary testing includes hardness testing, metallography, microhardness, plating thickness, torque-tension, tensile testing, and corrosion testing. Dress code is casual lab attire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
