Job Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing field and in-house service work for customers, the installation and set-up of new machines, and ensuring customer satisfaction by performing high quality work in a timely manner. Service work includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, computer, and industrial systems and controls of mechanical equipment located in production settings.
Essential Duties
Install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
Travel to customer locations throughout North America to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs to electro-mechanical equipment.
Prepare and test all equipment before equipment is shipped to customers to ensure proper functioning and operation.
Load and unload equipment at Volm and customer facilities.
Train customers and operators on proper use of equipment sold and serviced by Volm Companies.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics tools, visually and by sound.
Conduct phone service support on an “on-call” basis.
Document all installation and service work performed in a timely manner including expense reports, service reports, time sheets, etc.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid US passport or passport card preferred.
Developed understanding and use of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including PLC and VFD controls.
Ability to accurately read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.

Education and Experience

Established experience working with material and resource planning systems, spreadsheets, word processing documents, customer management databases, and other applicable computer systems and data management software preferred.
Established experience in electro-mechanical principles, systems, and repair preferred.
Journeyman electrician license preferred.
Established experience building and maintaining strong customer service relationships preferred.

Travel Requirements

Driver Qualification

About the Role
The Controls Technician will be responsible for the installation, start-up, programming support, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems across a wide variety of commercial environments. Key Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the customer site installation and commissioning of equipment, as well as training, retrofits, service, and preventative maintenance. Projects will vary in length between a few days to 4 weeks. Core Responsibilities

Position Overview:
The Engineering Technician supports the Chief Engineer in the daily operation and maintenance of the hotel's physical infrastructure. The Accountabilities:

Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Debug Technician to join our team! As a Mechanical Debug Technician, you will use a hands-on approach to perform troubleshooting of high-quality industrial machinery in a manufacturing facility, mentoring debug technicians and technicians, and assisting in the structure and performance of the assembly team. This individual must be able to complete work accurately, meet project milestone dates, and have effective communication skills.

Requirements:
Troubleshoot packaging equipment and determine extent of repair necessary, disassemble, replace or repair parts or construct new parts, reassemble, test and adjust.
Assemble basic parts or units and attach units to assembly, subassembly, or frame, using hand tools and power tools
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
Perform all machine and bench operations required to construct replacement parts or to recondition worn or defective parts.
Utilizes working knowledge and experience in the areas of VFDs (Variable frequency drives), Motors/Wiring configurations, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), Computers, Electrical Schematics, and Control Circuits.
Desired Requirements:
3+ years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting, preferably of industrial equipment.
1+ years of experience in basic electrical. Experience in electrical industrial equipment troubleshooting preferred.
Basic knowledge of PLC's & AC/DC drives desired, but not required.
Working knowledge of electronic controls and packaging machinery desired, but not required.
