In this role, you will utilize a variety of test procedures, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics to test, troubleshoot, and repair integrated unit-level assemblies and circuit board assemblies down to the component level. You will also support assembly processes for both unit subassembly and the final integration of unit-level assemblies. This is an on-site position located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. This is a 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm).
Responsibilities
Perform in-circuit and functional tests and component-level troubleshooting on complex circuit card assemblies.
Utilize mechanical skills to disassemble and reassemble products per drawings or other documents using common tools.
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot subassembly-level components.
Integrate, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex end-items.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics and electrical components.
Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military training.
Strong understanding of digital and analog circuitry and the ability to troubleshoot complex assemblies to the component level.

The selected candidate will perform routine technical functions supporting development engineering activities, including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment. This role involves hands-on work with analog, digital, and video-type circuits and logic systems, and requires the ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions, layouts, or defined plans.
What You'll get to Do:
Operate specialized test stations and equipment, with a focus on RF applications and TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) tuning.
Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment.
Ensure conformance with design specifications.
Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
Conduct defined engineering tests and collect assigned data.
Work in assigned areas such as development, engineering, or test equipment design (excluding production test activities).
Multitask effectively and demonstrate initiative as a self-starter.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Must be available to work OT and possibly weekends

Basic Qualifications ElectronicTechnician 2:
High school diploma and 2 years of related experience.
Experience with environmental stress screening of electronic hardware (vibration, thermal).
Experience utilizing diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications ElectronicTechnician 2:
Electronics training is equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school.
RF test experience is a plus.
Experience with component-level troubleshooting.
Experience with VOM, DVM, and similar test apparatus.
Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office suites

Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 - $89,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
