Starting Pay: $25-$28/hour
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for tracking, inspecting and testing a variety of sophisticated machinery, including analytical and electronic measuring devices, recording and indicating instruments, and electrical, mechanical and electromechanical calibrated equipment. Must ensure calibrated equipment are tested at approved regular intervals to ensure correct calibration to a standard traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or to a standard provided by the equipment manufacturer for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 Repair Station Quality Management System. This position reports to the Director of Quality of Assurance. The position is responsible for decision making that may have a significant impact on the organization's earnings, operations and reputation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Creating Calibrated Equipment identification numbers for new equipment that are being brought into the system.
· Adding calibrating equipment into the system database.
· Tracking all calibrated equipment to ensure they are operated within their calibrated time frames.
· Ensure all required shop equipment under supervision is maintained in appropriate calibration status.
· Troubleshooting, installing and repairing components including analytical and electronic measuring devices, recording and indicating instruments, and electrical, mechanical and electromechanical components.
· Tagging, removing and quarantining any equipment that is out of calibration status.
· Ensure all repair work performed is accomplished in accordance with current applicable manufacturer's data acceptable and approved by the FAA, and in accordance with current NIST guidelines.
· Review and certify new and modified test equipment and special test procedures.
· Maintains a system of keeping records of checks and calibration of inspection tools and precision test equipment, taking steps to ensure that the established check periods are not exceeded.
· Ensure all compliance of Company inspection standards, methods, and procedures.
· Ensure accuracy and completeness of required documents and of all materials to specifications.
· Follow and adhere to all policies and regulations.
· Back up department functions and perform other duties as assigned.
· Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Eighteen (18) months of experience performing the type of work which they will be conducting.
· Familiarity with aviation industry, equipment knowledge and technical documents.
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
· Three (3) or more years in an inspection capacity performing the type of work which they will be inspecting.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Frequent work in an office environment with extended computer use and paperwork.
· Frequent work in a production and controlled environment setting.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have freedom of movement to enable inspection of interior and exterior of small to large uniquely shaped parts.

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a Instrumentation Technician C to join our teams in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will work with blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and bulletins, National Bureau of Standards, manufacturers' specifications, oral and written instructions. You will be installing instrumentation, primarily strain gauges and thermocouples on all models of Boeing aircraft civilian, military and space.
Position Responsibilities:
Receive work assignment from team leader or supervisor and obtain necessary materials and equipment
Obtain appropriate engineering drawings and test documents, as required, for assignment if drawings, sketches, and documents are not with work assignment
Fabricate wire or fiber optic bundles used to connect various types of test and computer equipment together or test sensing equipment used to monitor and measure, for the purpose of collecting and storing data during test
Set up and perform qualification test, bench test, or automatic test as required per work assignment, test document, test equipment manuals, and/or engineering instructions
Install fiber optic strain gages, thermocouples, accelerometers, and strain gages by soldering, bonding, spot welding, or using mechanical fastening devices
Use a scissor or boom lift to access areas for instrumentation installation this work is performed both inside hangars and outside on airfields
Perform modification of test equipment to meet engineering configuration, as required
Select proper hand, power, and/or bench tools needed to perform required operation, such as screwdrivers, pliers, torque wrenches, crimpers, cable tools, band saw, drill press, and sander, as required
Use shop tools and any test equipment required to complete work assignment
Write tie-ins, and maintain records such as work log for areas/equipment as required
Devise and/or build shop aids and work around methods as necessary to test/troubleshoot systems
Handle and protect components and assemblies such as static sensitive equipment in accordance with shop procedures and drawing requirements
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials (ketone, naphtha, alcohol, epoxy, acids) in approved manner (in accordance with Safety Data Sheets) using personal protective equipment as required
Pack electronic equipment for travel as required per drawing and Boeing applicable specifications
Check work after completion of each operation to be sure job is per drawing or other instructions
Put completed job or reworked job up for inspection as required
Contact team leader/supervisor/engineer/planner when assistance is needed (e.g. if there is questions about drawings or paperwork, if drawings and paperwork do not match, or when any other problem arises)
Maintain personal and tool certifications, as required

**Job Summary:**
The Electronics Technician works under limited direction/supervision and is responsible to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production of electronic or mechanical products, parts, equipment and systems, such as computer equipment, instrumentation, digital / analog, electronic products, test equipment, electro-mechanical products, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, and electronic testing

The Avionics Electronics Technician will participate in high-level technical work with little or no instruction. Job Summary:
The R&O Electronics Tech II is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying repair and overhaul (R&O) electronic components, electro-mechanical assemblies, parts, equipment, and systems by applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.
Essential Functions:

- Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to
evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. Test, and maintain

Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron. Write reports and record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers.
