KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Calibrate custody transfer meters at light product terminals within assigned region using company owned Small Volume Prover and/or Prover Can trailers.
* Monitor and analyze meter factor drift and work with Measurement Specialists to recommend corrective actions based on the analysis.
* Assist the Measurement Specialist with investigation and resolution of loss/gain issues at terminals.
* Maintain meter calibration equipment (Small Volume Provers and Prover Cans).

* Provide field assistance and calibration for new meter installations, rebuilds and meter upgrades, as applicable.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with various state officials in their Weights and Measures departments. Maintain knowledge of state requirements to ensure L&S meets those requirements along with documented company policies.
* Measure, monitor, and communicate the accuracy and correctness of the meter proving process and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Develop and maintain competency with the mechanical and electrical aspects of terminal meters, small volume provers, prover cans, and control valves. Work closely with M&VCS, ES and SMEs for additional support, as needed. Review performance data on measurement equipment to evaluate a need for repairs or replacements.
* Work independently without direct, daily supervision.
* Provide field assistance to other L&S components, based on business need and priority, under the direction of the Terminal Services Measurement Supervisor.
* The successful candidate will need to have strong communication skills along with the ability to contribute to the team through critical thinking and technical, interpersonal, and business acumen. They must have an openness to handle special assignments as well as a drive to achieve results.
* This job will require completion of the Electrical Worker Program (EWP) to support core job responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

**Job Summary:**

Program: The Linde Leadership and Technical Orientation Program (LTOP) is a program that is sponsored by Linde's United States Bulk and On-Site unit. The program has a class of engineers that go through 52 weeks of training in a structured curriculum that is designed to give a very broad exposure to all aspects of plant operations with limited exposure to the broader Linde organization. The curriculum contains training common to operations with an opportunity for technical cross training. The LTOP is a mentored program, with each participant assigned a sponsor, and is specifically designed for those desiring to use an engineering/technical degree to leverage a management career and grow within the organization.
Specific areas of operations that you will be required to study include all of the various product line processes (air separation, hydrogen, hydrogen-carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, helium, rare gases and standard plants); safety, health and environmental; distribution, logistics and customer service. Operations support functions will be covered as well.
LTOP engineers will be expected to become actively involved in many aspects of their assigned training sites' activities and support their daily operations. These activities may include plant startups or shutdowns, maintenance, project planning and execution, training, problem solving, safety program execution, customer interface, personnel management, efficiency monitoring, product shipping and scheduling/planning. Specific activities that will be performed by the engineer are related to the day-to-day operation of the plant and include but is not limited to the following:
* Operation of the plant using the control system and physical equipment in the field such as motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation, and various utilities (electrical, water, steam, and instrument gas).
* Assessing the efficiency and operating capability of plant equipment specifically as it relates to energy consumption.
* Making changes to operating modes or to equipment to optimize efficiency.
