DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner.
Perform emergency response cleanup activities including but not limited to chemical and water spills, non-hazardous and hazardous waste and toxic materials and equipment decontamination.
Sweep, dig, shovel, lift, pressure wash and handling drums to assist in cleanup.
Operate cleanup equipment used in hazardous waste activities.
Follow policies and procedures for control and storage of hazardous substances.
Attend safety training as required.
Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
Perform various housekeeping and custodial duties and other duties as required.
Assist with maintenance of facility like unloading trucks and other ancillary duties.
Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled standby.
Work long hours and overtime during day, night or weekend shifts.
Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Some environmental services industry experience preferred.
Some hazardous waste control experience preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
Confined Space Entry certification preferred.

DUTIES:
Service, maintain, repair, install and test new or existing equipment and verify conformance to specifications. (Robot/Welding/Fixtures)
Complete repairs, modifications and installations as required.
Provide plant support in troubleshooting of process problems including root cause and completes quality improvements as required to maintain part standards of quality. Establish cross functional team for reliability issues
Deal extensively with production team and other support groups as well as vendors (both parts suppliers and equipment suppliers).
Department support for testing, repairing and calibrating electric or electronic components. Validates reliability issues with components and investigates repeat component failures.
Enter all breakdown details into the Maintenance PM database by end of shift
Carries out preventative maintenance procedures as laid out by CBAM and the manufacturer's specifications.
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities; repairs and systems improvements (optimization). Documents improvements and analysis data, ensure swift and effective implementation.
Analyze, record and chart documentation required for maintenance records and projects. Establishes benchmarks and shares improvement opportunities with department Shift Leader.
Establish and follow-up full project implementation including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning.
Prepare drawings, material specifications to requisition as required by vendors or other departments.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with three to five years of progressively responsible experience in electrical and/or mechatronic systems, electronic laboratory equipment integration, and instrumentation applications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting facilities or laboratories in mechatronics, embedded systems, or automation.
Proficiency in basic electronics, automation instrumentation selection and usage, computer hardware, computer networks, and hardware/software integration.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
Prototyping and fabrication skills, including knowledge of 3D printing, and wood and metal shop equipment.
Demonstrated ability to manage and facilitate projects across a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in a multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrated commitment to lab safety, innovation, and continuous improvement in instructional support.
Knowledge of hardware cybersecurity issues is a plus.

Perform troubleshooting and repair on industrial robots, PLCs, automation cells, sensors, and control systems
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on robotic and automated equipment
Assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new automation systems
Program and adjust robot paths, I/O, and PLC logic as needed to support production
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve cycle times and equipment reliability
Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance logs, wiring schematics, and programming changes
Adhere to all safety policies and lock-out/tag-out procedures
Provide technical support and training for operators and other maintenance personnel
Qualifications
Associate Degree or technical certification in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics,
Industrial Maintenance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2-3+ years of experience with robotics and automation in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with at least one major robotics platform (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.)
Ability to read electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and ladder logic
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative
Ability to support production needs on second shift and occasional overtime
