Responsibilities * Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners. * Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components and other environmental control systems. * Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). * Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection results. * Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. * Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Weaver Project Manager. * Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. * Adhere to strict safety standards. * Under close supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties. * Provide clear documentation of findings and results. * Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss the accuracy of data in preparation for submittal. * Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager. * Progressively assume increased roles of training and responsibility in work assignments. * Follow safety rules, practices, and other safety requirements for all projects. * Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. * Report any safety issues or concerns to management. * Maintain quality standards on all projects.
