Required to travel, work rotating shifts to include nights, days and/or weekends, and work in other components of the organization or geographic locations.
Directs the work of subordinate employees in a Line Station Maintenance Sub-team, who perform line maintenance work on the agency's fleet of aircraft. These employees are responsible for routine implementation of maintenance procedures and practices to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards, Federal Aviation Regulations, and engineering specifications pertaining to Part 135 Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Alterations, Part 145 Repair Stations and maintenance program.
Incumbent ensures compliance with airworthiness standards, Federal Aviation Regulations, and engineering specifications pertaining to the maintenance program. Oversees the performance of aircraft and avionics equipment maintenance and modification in accordance with established standards, policies, practices and procedures contained in the General Maintenance Manual, TI 4100.24 as revised and Repair Station TI 4100.27. This position requires a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate in accordance with 14 CFR 65 Certification: Airmen other than flight crewmembers Subpart D Mechanics.
Typically directs the work of subordinate employees at the organizational unit level. Work usually includes routine project/program tasks based on established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Managerial duties typically affect employees in one organizational unit, and include: setting priorities; assigning tasks; monitoring and evaluating performance (includes performance appraisals); coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave; and taking or recommending corrective /disciplinary action, as appropriate.
Uses assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish project/program objectives. Manages budget and requests additional resources, as needed. Contributes to budget planning process and projects short-term future needs. Independently plans, coordinates, and carries out assignments and resolves a wide variety of airworthiness issues that might result in delays/interruption s to production schedule and/or the mission.
Applies comprehensive knowledge of avionics or aircraft systems to plan, conduct functional activities and/ or to identify resource needs to maintain the aircraft maintenance programs. Applies a detail knowledge of budget, staffing, and other administrative policies, and procedures and a detailed understanding of the overall objectives mission to meet overall mission requirements. Responsible for coordination with Flight Program Operations, Flight Standards officials, and other governmental officials to develop satisfactory solutions of immediate issues and provide advice to upper management on long-term issues.
Contacts are primarily within the Aircraft Maintenance Services Group subordinates, peers, senior and executive management officials to discuss the status of projects/modification efforts and to share information. In some areas, may also have frequent contact with customers to explain policies, procedures or for other project/program purposes to address new and changing maintenance, inspection and overhaul concepts.
Established guidelines, policies, and procedures typically govern work. Resolves routine problems independently, but consults with higher-level management when existing guidelines are not available or applicable to complex problems. May be called upon to assist in the development of new policies and procedures.
Work assignments usually include routine project/program tasks based on established policies, procedures, and guidelines and reviewed by the Manager and/or Director, often through status reports and organizational performance measures, to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and alignment with Flight Program Operations program objectives.

Equipment Assembly and Repair:

Equipment assembly processes may require a combination of design, fabrication, and/or construction functions for items such as power and signal cables, circuit boards, electrical and mechanical components, test fixtures, and engineering prototypes. Equipment repair processes may include functions such as performance analysis, equipment disassembly/assembly, troubleshooting and correction of electrical, electronic, or mechanical malfunctions, parts replacement, painting and composite structures. The Contractor shall complete applicable adjustment, testing, and certification processes on all items assembled or repaired. All process functions shall be performed and documented as specified in the technical documentation applicable to the system/subsystem/component.
Equipment Performance Analyses and Data Collection:
The Contractor shall perform equipment and component performance analyses to determine operating characteristics and parameters, to aid in fault isolation and identification, and to verify equipment functions under variable conditions. The Contractor shall collect and record appropriate engineering data to document results of the analyses. The Contractor shall also extract, produce, compile, and present a variety of systems data and logistics support information obtained from various sources.
Equipment Installation:
The Contractor shall install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, modifications and engineering prototypes. The Contractor may be required to perform adjustment, test, and certification functions for this equipment.

The Well Control Technician is primarily responsible for working on well control equipment, assembly/disassembly of choke manifolds, performing inspections and preventative maintenance on BOP equipment. This position is on call for any urgent field related issues.

What you need:

* Assists in surveys of existing power systems and associated equipment as well as the physical facility for adequacy of exiting equipment and to ensure new power system requirements are accommodated at all facilities.
* Troubleshoots failures in equipment and systems.
* Analyzes and conducts performance tests of electrical systems.
* Assists in engineering technical documentation.
* Assists in survey reports with assessments and technical data in accordance with customer program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Guarantees the enhancement and/or maintenance of existing power systems at various facilities.
* Independently provides support in the demolition and disposal of current powers system equipment, such as EG, UPS, electrical distribution equipment, fuel systems and fuel tanks.
* Examines and provides maintenance services for existing powers systems.
* Aids in the development and preservation of the overall production schedule for project deliverables.
* Provides technical and administrative support for engineering services. Supports the development of specifications for installation and data documentation used in the Site Survey process.
* Assists in surveys of existing power systems and associated equipment as well as the physical facility for adequacy of exiting equipment and to ensure new power system requirements are accommodated at all facilities.
* Troubleshoots failures in equipment and systems.
* Analyzes and conducts performance tests of electrical systems.
* Assists in engineering technical documentation.
* Assists in survey reports with assessments and technical data in accordance with customer program.
* Installs specific electrical power system equipment installations that are included but not limited to: engine generators (EG), EG fuel system(s), EG fuel tank(s), Uninterruptible Power Supply(s) (UPS),
* Static Transfer Switch, electrical distribution equipment, and associated power system support equipment such as, power systems control hardware/software, HVAC, physical facility, and lighting.
* Helps provide construction estimates, schedules, and project oversight.
* Organizes and inspects construction related tasks (i.e., utility installation, general electrical, heavy equipment operation, welding, mechanical, etc.).
* Performs installation of various electrical systems included but not limited engine generators (EG), EG fuel system(s), EG fuel tank(s), Uninterruptible Power Supply(s) (UPS), Static Transfer Switch, electrical distribution equipment, associated power system support equipment such as, power systems control hardware/software, HVAC, physical facility, and lightning protection.
* Ensures all safety requirements are met by the customer and OHSA standards.
* Coordinates with the customer the installation and scheduling requirements for various power and fuel systems.
* Travels to client sites up to 80% of the time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
