Field Service International (FSI) supports and coordinates international Siemens Energy entities serving the global SE 50hz and 60hz and Legacy Westinghouse markets as well as Nuclear. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure projects are executed in accordance with global and regional business strategies. A typical working day is characterized by independent and collaborative work. This includes independent structuring and prioritization of tasks and daily business. The daily work routine varies and dependent on communication and coordination with different departments, e.g. local in-country entities, DSM, Engineering.
How You'll Make an Impact
As a field service engineer, you will work with the Siemens Energy Service Headquarters in Orlando, FL and required to travel to Siemens Energy customer power plants throughout the world to perform maintenance, repair, and modification of large steam and gas turbine generators and related equipment.
Supervision of mechanical maintenance crews ranging in size from 1 to 30 persons disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling large steam/gas turbine generators. Leading job site safety programs and performs complex site surveys to develop maintenance plans.
Complete and submit detailed reports covering all job activity. Review complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provide continual mentorship throughout task duration.
Lead and direct subcontractors to perform specific maintenance related tasks and serve is the primary Siemens Energy jobsite contact. May be required to complete the planning and estimating of resources and durations required for specific scopes of work for customer proposals.
Required to obtain Nuclear Security Clearance successful completion of a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and any other test(s).
What You Bring
BS in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience in Field Service is required, must be an experienced FSE with a minimal of 5+ years of experience.
Must be self sufficient, able to effectively communicate with region and customer and Proficient with Schedule Management tools
Role and will be required to travel internationally full time (100%) and must be able to secure Nuclear clearance.
Experience in maintenance of steam and gas turbines, generators, and associated equipment is preferred.

You'll verify fixture setups against quality expectations, collaborate with Engineering on First Run parts and program validation, and dial in machine offsets to keep parts in tolerance. Throughout the shift, you'll calculate and enter control parameters-spindle position, depth of cut, speed, feed, and coolant-to keep cycles efficient and parts consistent. Between runs, you'll perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), keep a working understanding of shop processes, and move confidently between manual equipment and CNC machines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The electronictechnician fabricates, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, modifies, programs, routs, removes, controls, and repairs Operational Television - Digital (OTV-D) communication systems.
This is a represented staff position with the IBEW Union.
Duties/Responsibilities
Install, remove, maintain, and replace serial digital closed-circuit surveillance television and webcams systems in support of spacecraft, payload, and security operations.
Install and maintain camera control systems for trim controls (pan, tilt, zoom, etc.)
Install and maintain mid-split level television and broadband communication distribution system, including Channel 60 and Operational Television (OTV) Webpage.
Fabricate, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, repair, test, align, calibrate, and operate; fiber optics, closed-circuit TV, head end and distribution, high definition and serial digital TV, switching and distribution, pressurized pan and tilts, pressurized lighting and cameras, and video surveillance systems.
Coordinate with other crafts to ensure job completeness and to assist with troubleshooting.
Read and interpret work orders, drawings, schematics, and notes.
Provide, update, and maintain all required documentation, reports, and logs, etc., manually or in electronic databases.

Requirements
Required Minimum Education:
Associate of Science or Technical Trade School* in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.

Six (6) years of related experience or successful completion of a State or Military approved bona fide work-related apprenticeship program recognized by the US Department of Labor.
