Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems. May conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. The Avionics Radio Technician performs line and bench maintenance on a variety of aircraft avionics communication/navigation systems and components. May perform flight line maintenance to include inspect, troubleshoot, test, repair and installation. Performs bench level maintenance down to component level to include inspect, troubleshoot, test, align, repair and overhaul. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task. Install, repair, align, maintain, service and/or tune the following: radio, radar, microwave electronic communication systems receivers and transmitters, including analog and digital HF, UHF and VHF equipment; intercom audio panels and audio amplifiers and public address systems. This will require the use of electronic test equipment and other electronic devices. Locate and isolate defects in electronic equipment; repair, replace, and troubleshoot defective parts; install electronic units and associated electrical elements. Utilizing special tools, circuit testers, meters and equipment; performs tests and/or checks as required to confirm component and system serviceability. Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records. Maintains work areas and tools in a clean and organized manner, practices proper tool and FOD control. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is preferred. Requires 3+ years' experience performing line and bench maintenance on a variety of aircraft avionics communication/navigation radio repair systems and components. This position is a contract- temporary position that will have a 3-6 months duration. This is an exciting opportunity to work on brand-new technology in the renewable energy space! PAY: $35-$40/hr Electronics Technician Responsibilities: Production verification testing of PCB & assemblies. Using soldering irons, heat guns and reflow oven for PCB soldering, desoldering, rework, and hand build units. Mechanical build of the PCB assemblies. The Appliance and Consumer Electronics Technician will perform restoration on many varying electronics and appliances. The Hardware Engineering Technician IV will be part of an engineering team developing power management hardware in Nickel-Zinc (NiZn) battery backup systems for multiple industries.
