Job Description

What You Will Do
·Perform systems level operation and monitoring of ROTHR receiver site equipment. Performs organizational, preventative and intermediate level maintenance on ROTHR receiver site and communications equipment, consisting of Phased Array Antennae, RF Hardware, Digital Hardware, Microprocessors, Minicomputers, PC farms and peripheral equipment.
·Work typically requires comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting and using the appropriate resources and test equipment.
·Receives technical guidance and tasking from supervisor or higher-level technician and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Candidate will perform all other related duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires Graduate in Electronic or Electrical Engineering Technology from technical institute above high school with a minimum curriculum length of two years or Military Technical School with minimum curriculum length of six months.
Must have five years of related experience. Ability to use test equipment and systematic procedures for troubleshooting, overhaul, fault isolation, and repair of major electronic systems comprised of receiver and transmitter functions.
Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles.
The selected candidate may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued DoD Secret clearance. We are searching for a test technician to handle the testing of products developed by our company for public release. In this role, you will be required to plan, conduct, and report on testing done to products under development as well as provide advice and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
**What You Will Do**
+ Interacts with other functional groups (e.g. engineering, manufacturing) on routine technical matters
+ Setting up and operating various test stands
+ Configuring test equipment for special tests as needed
+ Interpreting and recording test results
+ Recognizing and isolating test equipment failures
+ Taking electrical measurements to determine select resistors using strong math skills
+ Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level
+ Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics
+ Effectively communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)
+ Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions.
+ Utilize limited variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers.
+ Perform entry level troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software.
+ Participate on project teams.
+ Perform task prioritization.
+ Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.
+ Support activities through the resolution of problems and preparation and maintenance of documentation.
+ Manage work flow throughout area to achieve team goals.
+ Evaluate and troubleshoot non-conformances.
+ Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools or prototypes from drawings or sketches.
+ Estimate labor, material, and manufacturing costs for the building and repair of product or process enhancement.
+ Provide accurate recording of time changes, test data, parts usage, etc. This requires limited data interpretation.
+ Utilize multiple databases to create/use necessary information to provide information for decision making requiring limited judgment.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
+ Refrigeration technician certification or Refrigeration technician license
+ Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
