JOB PURPOSE:
Under limited supervision, perform install, service and repair of electronic and mechanical access control systems on campus. Maintain the highest level of security, access and safety on campus in accordance with building codes and standard security procedures.

Install, maintain and repair the following systems associated with campus building access and security: intrusion, egress and theft alarm systems; ADA operators; panic alarms
Identify and resolve safety issues such as, but not limited to, accessibility, electrical hazards, asbestos releases, confined spaces and ladder/scaffold safety. Identify and resolve conflicts and concerns with applicable codes and standards.

Position Summary:

Entry level sales, customer service background essential
One (1) year of Military, delivery driver with sales component or health care technician experience would be
considered related experience and preferred.
Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies.
Subject to long periods of sitting and driving.
Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall work activities and work levels fluctuate.
May be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings.

Job Summary
The Instrumentation & Electronics (I&E) Technician is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automation and control systems to support efficient, safe, and sustainable operations in minerals processing. This role integrates advanced technologies-including PLC systems and data analytics to enhance process reliability, enable predictive maintenance, and drive real-time optimization. The Controls Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders to advance innovation while ensuring compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety.
Education/ Experience
Certification or Associates degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or comparable relevant on the job experience required.
3-5 years of experience in implementing control systems preferably in the mining or oilfield service sectors preferred.

Engineering Manager, unless otherwise designated.
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design and optimize PLC-based control systems for minerals processing applications.
Document control of system architecture, programming standards, and operational procedures.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for control systems and automation solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, consultants, and strategic partners on R&D initiatives and system optimization projects.
Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety protocols.
Train junior engineers, operators, and stakeholders on the use and maintenance of control systems.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in controls, automation, and data analytics to implement innovative improvements.
Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.
Attend and participate in all required safety trainings.
Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
Requirements
Required Skills
Demonstrated strong knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic, Siemens, Rockwell, SCADA systems, or Allen Bradley, and other industrial automation practices.
Prior experience with HMIs like Redlion and Siemens, preferred.
Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and safely operate, maintain, or troubleshoot industrial equipment.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Duties:
Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment
Participates in Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Completes all job notes required in conjunction with work assignments
Accounts for all time on a digital timecard and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
Promotes and sells the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts to increase customer safety and satisfaction
Follows all safety procedures and works in a safe manner

Qualifications:
Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field, preferred
Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of machinery, engines and other related equipment
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks
Willingness to learn and train in new technologies
Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands
