The Calibration Technician has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks in support of the PHS Calibration program, ensuring flow of work to support Operations and quality of workmanship and documentation to mitigate risk for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled checks on all inspection tools and precision test equipment used by the repair station to ensure that they are maintained current with calibration recall list.
Work with PHS Engineering to develop and calibrate PHS Tools and Test Equipment.
Strong organizational, documentation, and detail skills; Responsible for maintaining Calibration Asset Log and managing asset workflow.
Maintain Calibration Environmental Control and ensure proper tagging and identification of all parts and components, per established Quality Procedures as required.
Identifying external sources for calibrations and maintaining good relationships.
Coordinate outsourcing of calibrated assets requiring external calibration, which may include obtaining quotes, issuing requisitions for Purchase or Repair Orders, delivery to shipping, and verifying results / condition of materials received. Following up as needed to avoid delay.
Other duties may also be assigned.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Ability - Minimum of 3 years related experience. Prefer experience with 14 CFR 145 requirements.
Metrology background with good understanding of the science of measurement regarding range, accuracy, and uncertainty when calibrating for length, mass, time, current and temperature.
Strong Electrical skills - good understanding of electrical theory and applications involving standard and advanced electrical equipment.

Perform testing on various systems including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and meggering of cables
Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work
Be able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems
Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

2+ years' experience in electrical testing or related field

This position is located in the Costa Mesa, California headquarters, and is a full-time hands-on laboratory position that is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
The primary duty of the Senior Electrical Engineering Technician is in-depth testing and qualification of QSC products, with an emphasis on networked audio and video electronics. The technician is also responsible for supporting the engineering staff with prototyping, design troubleshooting, and failure analysis, plus circuit repair and modification. Secondary duties of the Senior Electrical Engineering Technician are test fixture creation and laboratory maintenance.
The Senior Electrical Engineering Technician must have an advanced understanding of electronics and electronic circuit troubleshooting. Experience with Class D audio amplifiers, SMPS power supplies, Power over Ethernet, high-speed networking, and video circuitry is preferred.
