The ElectronicTechnician is more than just a modern-day technician; we provide hardware support to multiple lines of businesses! We also have the opportunity to support the special events team throughout the Walt Disney World property providing voice and data connectivity for any events that need assistance.

**Responsibilities :**
+ Perform maintenance, tackling, and configuring of phones and associated peripherals on Avaya and Cisco Systems
+ Perform sustainment of in-room technology including WIFI, TIMELOX, and GPON equipment
+ Required to install and maintain all layer 1 infrastructure
+ Proficiency with layer 1 fiber and copper test equipment
+ Perform other tasks as assigned by management or lead technician
+ Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
**Basic Qualifications :**
+ Telephony experience
+ Layer 1 experience
+ Knowledge of Cisco/Avaya voice systems and T1/Data circuits

Position Summary
The Engineering Technologist II position is the second level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification. Engineering Technologist II applies technical expertise to solve more complex problems and management skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with some supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop deeper technical skills and the ability to work with an increasing degree of independence.
The Engineering Technologist III position is the third level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role. Employees in the Engineering Technologist III position are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with a high degree of independence.
This position is part of the Protection and Control Engineering group located in the Duke Energy Engineering office in Lake Mary Florida. This work group is responsible for design of protection and control relaying applications for substations (new and existing). Design projects range from routine equipment modifications and installations to the complete design of new transmission facilities. Coordinates work to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely release of engineering designs. Utilizes a variety of tools and techniques in order to complete an engineering design, including current design specifications, pertinent code manuals, computer aided design/drafting software, and other reference sources. Final product is an engineering release package consisting of pertinent drawings and bills of material.
The person in this position will work as part of a project team to develop detailed project scopes, layouts of control equipment enclosures, detailed elementary, schematic and wiring diagram drawings and plans required for construction of specific substation projects. The work performed by this unit requires an understanding of power systems, transformers, protective relaying and electrical engineering principles. The person will be involved in the development and review of designs for high voltage substations at voltages of 23kV, 115kV, 230kV and 500kV. Additionally, the person in this position is expected to develop some knowledge in protective relay settings calculations and analysis based on current and evolving standards (IEEE, NERC, etc.). The person in this position must be able to manage multiple projects in various stages of design so as to meet project schedule deadlines; provide design support to field personnel during project implementation; develop and maintain sufficient level of expertise in use of CAD software for efficient production of engineering work; and collaborate in a team environment to spread knowledge and to produce the best quality product possible.

Position Overview:
The Electrical Assembler - Warranty Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and assembling electrical components and systems to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. This role focuses on handling warranty-related repairs and troubleshooting issues reported by customers, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. The technician works closely with engineering and customer service teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and maintain detailed documentation of repairs. Essential Functions:
Perform incoming inspections and inventory of customer returned boats and photo document received and shipped conditions
Engage and communicate findings with appropriate Value Stream Leaders, Engineering, and schedule appropriate vessel reviews when applicable
Communicate projects status with Customers, Captains, Service Managers, and/or General Managers
When applicable assist in the training of customers and dealer technicians in the proper steps of systems operation and proper preventative maintenance schedules
Support Customer Service Representatives and dealer technicians with technical information, and troubleshooting guidance
Document supporting materials, travel, labor associated with internal, and external assignments
Knowledge, skills and hands on ability in a wide variety of assembly related installations to include current and non-current product, customer purchased aftermarket components, mechanical systems, electrical installation and troubleshooting of AC/ DC, NMEA, CAN, digital network systems, interior materials fit and finish
Testing of customer boats, ensuring all vessel systems are operational to manufactures specifications
Experience in installation, rigging, programming, calibration of outboard engines
Must have the ability to read blue prints
Must interface well with retail customers, dealers, vendors, employees, other departments throughout Boston Whaler, and Brunswick organization
Ability to work independently at off-site locations and adjust accordingly to solve problems that may arise
Self starter, high energy individual who can work effectively without supervision
Must be committed to quality standards acceptable by Boston Whaler and customer base
Ensure work area is maintained clean, orderly and safe
Know and enforce company policies and procedures

Shop floor working environment.
Shop floor is non-climate controlled. Temperature fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $49,900 - $69,300 salary non-exempt with the possibility of overtime. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-11: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience: Examples of this experience includes: Modeling and simulation professional theories, concepts, principles, techniques, and practices of computer engineering, electronics engineering and/or computer science.
GS-12: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience: Examples of this experience includes: Leading and/or performing engineering work involving electronic circuits, circuit elements and equipment systems; applying a number of diverse electronics engineering practices, techniques and processes to identify and resolve complex engineering issues; supporting the planning, testing and troubleshooting of electronics engineering systems or devices; and, developing computer aided engineering analysis and tools in support of planning and designing applications.
GS-13: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
