Responsibilities Executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations. Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Key duties include conducting site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. + Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean handbook and policies. + Participates in quality reviews of M.C. Dean design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability. + Tracks project metrics and participates in weekly resource allocation meetings. + Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects. + Executes installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring completion of detailed documentation. + Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and organizes material ordering and receiving. + Conducts daily ORM meetings, ensures team compliance with safety requirements, and completes accident/incident reporting. + Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to ensure high-quality testing and installation. + Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, adhering to industry standards. · Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment. + Manages base switch configurations, participates in configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoots programmable components. + Ensures compliance with established QC plans and checklists, conducting quality control inspections and documenting findings. + Installs and maintains field devices, terminates and tests system components, and troubleshoots copper and fiber optic issues. · Leads commissioning efforts, tracks commissioning activities, and assists in representing M.C. Perform maintenance, testing, and servicing of fire extinguishers per FDNY and NFPA 10 standards. Accurately complete inspection reports and maintain detailed service records using our comprehensive mobile app. Communicate with customers on service procedures and educate them on fire safety when needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal fire safety regulations. Safely operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills. Fast learner with a motivated, proactive attitude. Physically fit and able to lift/carry fire protection equipment. Prior experience in fire extinguisher inspection is a plus but not required-training provided.
