Work with external vendors to identify faults and log circuit outages. Investigate hardware and software problems with voice/network devices and work with the manufacturers' support teams to resolve - ensuring the stability of the service. Monitor the health of the voice and UC infrastructure using an array of network monitoring and analysis tools. Assess the platform for any security vulnerabilities and manage the remediation, including any major upgrades where appropriate. Ensure proactive capacity planning, and that appropriate contingency/recovery plans are in place and maintained accordingly. Prepare and maintain technical platform related documentation. Assist in capturing data required for the design and implementation of new UC systems. Perform preventative maintenance (on-site and remotely) of all voice-related systems, including cable plant, firmware upgrades and platform level updates, monitor performance and carry out equipment repairs. Configure, verify and monitor system backups. Program the existing Cisco platform and maintain routing tables in the most efficient manner. Maintain and recommend security systems to protect against unauthorized access and analyze data to detect unauthorized usage and fraud. About the Role We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valued client's data center practice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle.
