Position Summary:
The Registration Authority (RA) Officer serves as a key component in the Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) operations, responsible for verifying identities and processing digital certificate requests in accordance with DoD and federal policies. + Support working groups of the CIO Council in their development of profiles of the NIST IoT guidance for specific classes of IoT products or IoT product use cases.
+ Advocacy for international alignment of cyber related standards and labeling efforts use of the NIST baselines.
+ Creation of supporting guidance and materials for enabling organizations to use NIST IoT cybersecurity guidance more easily; and
+ Creation of plans and materials to conduct outreach to industry, standards organizations and Federal stakeholders to support adoption of NIST work in this area.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree with a curriculum or major field of study which is closely related to the work to be automated, and/or in a computer science, information system, cybersecurity, engineering, or a mathematics intensive discipline. A Master's Degree (in subjects described above) may be substituted for 2 years' experience. A PhD (in subjects described above) may be substituted for 5 years' experience. OR no college degree and 16 years of directly applicable experience coupled with and industry or vendor technical certification (e.g., CISSP, CIPA, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNE, SCSA, etc.).
+ At least twelve (12) years in technology-oriented security engineering support related to hardware, software, O/S and/or processes, and cybersecurity policy and guidelines.
+ Specialty knowledge of cybersecurity as demonstrated through at least 8 years of experience working on cybersecurity related topics.
+ Significant contributor to or authorship on prior NIST publications.
+ Previous cybersecurity experience in support of the Federal Government.
+ Citizenship Requirements: U.S. Citizen
