The Shipping & Receiving Tech is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and compliant handling of incoming and outgoing aerospace materials, components, and finished products. This role ensures all shipments meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements, while maintaining proper documentation and traceability in accordance with AS9100 and other aerospace standards.
Salary: $21- $23/hr DOE
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and certifications.
Accurately prepare, package, and ship aerospace parts and assemblies according to customer specifications, export requirements, and company procedures.
Create shipping documentation including packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of conformance.
Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule and track shipments.
Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled to prevent damage or contamination.
Maintain inventory accuracy by promptly recording all transactions in the ERP or inventory management system.
Follow all EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) policies, export control regulations, and quality system requirements.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Purchasing to resolve material discrepancies or shipping issues.
Skills / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Knowledge of packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements for aerospace hardware.
Familiarity with ERP systems and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, work orders, and certifications.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely (certification preferred).

Deploy risk mitigation plans and be accountable for decreasing supplier risk.
