1968

Since its inception as a public company for power generation and transmission in 1968, Eletrosul comes transposing financial crisis in the electricity sector and the political changes in the country.

1971

In 1971, effectively begins to generate electricity, to incorporate thermoelectric Charqueadas;

1972

In 1972, are incorporated in Thermal Power Alegrete and Thermoelectric Society Capivari SA (SOTELCA);

1998

One example was the privatization process occurred in 1998, when all its generation facilities has been sold.

2013

In December 2013, Eletrosul completes 45 years of foundation consolidating its position as a national reference company in transmission and generation of renewable energy.

In 2013, records the full operation of all hydroelectric plants, totaling 337.05 MW;

2018

Eletrobras ended its activities in the distribution sector in 2018.

2021

Three months later, in October 2021, the resolution of the Investment Partnership Program (PPI) Board was published, which approved the privatization model.

1,031/2021 allowed the inclusion of Eletrobras in the National Privatization Program (PND), enabling BNDES to contract the technical studies necessary for structuring the operation.

2022

In the first, in February 2022, when it approved the value added by the new concession grants for electricity generation and, in the second, in May of this year, when it validated the model for the privatization of the company.

On June 14, 2022, the traditional ringing of the bell on the São Paulo stock exchange (B3) symbolically marked the capitalization of Eletrobras, now a corporation of international standard.

Three days earlier, on June 11, 2022, the company celebrated its 60th anniversary by telling its story of pioneering and innovating in the electric energy sector.
