The Role: We are seeking a Creative Director to define and evolve The Mind Company's brands and creative expression across our portfolio of mental fitness apps - Balance, Elevate, and Spark. This role blends visionary leadership with hands-on creative execution: you will set the creative direction for our brand identity, campaigns, and content, while also designing, writing, and editing assets yourself. Your mission is to establish a world-class creative function, ensuring that everything we make - from brand campaigns to product storytelling - embodies our voice and reinforces our mission of bringing mental fitness to every mind, every day. This is a fully remote position anywhere in North America, reporting to the VP of Marketing. How You'll Make an Impact Here: Creative Direction & Brand Identity * Serve as the brand's creative steward, leading the development and evolution of The Mind Company's visual identity, voice, and design systems. * Translate strategy into world-class creative concepts and campaigns that drive brand recognition, trust, and cultural relevance. * Ensure Balance, Elevate, and Spark share a unified brand family look and feel, while retaining their own distinct personalities. Campaigns & Content * Lead creative for brand campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and integrated marketing moments. * Craft and refine compelling content across mediums - visual, written, and experiential - that resonates with diverse audiences. * Elevate our storytelling by balancing strategy with creativity, and insight with inspiration. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Partner with product and marketing teams to ensure creative is impactful, cohesive, and aligned with business goals. * Provide clear creative direction while also rolling up your sleeves to execute * Champion creative excellence across every touchpoint where The Mind Company shows up. Innovation & Optimization * Stay ahead of creative trends, platforms, and tools to keep the brand fresh and relevant. * Use data, research, and user insights to refine creative direction and maximize impact. * Experiment with AI and emerging technologies to accelerate impactful design and storytelling. What We're Looking For: * Proven track record as a Creative Director or senior creative leader in brand, design, or content. * A standout portfolio showcasing brand campaigns, design systems, and storytelling that blend strategy with craft. * Hands-on creative ability in design (Figma/Adobe) and copywriting/editing. * Experience leading and mentoring creative teams, agencies, or freelancers. * Strong storytelling skills across visual, written, and digital mediums. * Ability to translate data, insights and strategy into creative concepts that drive cultural resonance and business impact. * Excellent taste, with an eye for detail and design consistency. * Collaborative leadership style, comfortable working across teams and disciplines. * Comfort in lean, fast-moving environments where you both lead and create. Compensation: At The Mind Company, we take a thoughtful and equitable approach to compensation with the goal of offering fair and sustainable salaries to all employees. We use a market-based, pay-for-performance compensation model that we update annually with high-quality industry compensation data. The full salary range for this role is $135,000-$193,000 USD, but a subset of the range will be used based on each candidate's location. Final compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, and location. Finally, we believe that people should be paid equitably for their expected (and then actual) contributions rather than negotiation skills. To that end, we give all successful candidates our "first and best" offer, and have a no-negotiation policy. We also provide all employees with consistent opportunities to receive compensation increases in line with their contributions and impact throughout their tenure.
