Qualifications
Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)- Aveanna can assist in obtaining this requirement after hire, if necessary.
TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
Must have reliable transportation

Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians orders for each individual patient while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.
Essential Job Functions
• Responsible for the delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Continuously observes and assesses patient condition and care needs and reports changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
• Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered.
• Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan.
• Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
• Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
• Accepts responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards.
• Educates the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient's nursing needs.
• Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continued education units, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations.
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Additional state specific requirements:
• South Carolina - One (1) year of pediatrics experience
• California - One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license
• Louisiana - One (1) year of experience required working as a licensed nurse
• Continuing Education as required by state
Preferences

ERS is seeking a Legal Intern to work closely with the Office of the General Counsel's leadership team, including Nancy Lippa, Deputy General Counsel and Privacy Officer, and Ashley Collier, Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, to gain hands-on experience in legal writing, research, and analysis. This internship provides exposure to the day-to-day operations of the Office of the General Counsel and allows the intern to contribute to the overall goals of the Employees Retirement System of Texas.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside attorneys on a variety of projects and tasks, gaining valuable experience preparing and evaluating legal documents and providing legal assistance in areas including contracts, litigation, investments, tax, employee benefits, and administrative law, while building both technical and professional skills in a public sector legal environment.
Internship responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducts legal research and gathers data to support decision-making processes
Prepares and edits legal documents.
Reviews and analyzes legal documents and records.
Assists attorneys in preparing cases for litigation.
Reviews cases for jurisdictional deficiencies and procedural compliance.
Collaborates with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Prepares reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
Participates in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and training opportunities.
Performs administrative tasks as needed to support departmental operations.
Adapts and learns new skills as required to meet project demands.
Seeks opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the department.
Performs related work as assigned.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in an accredited law school or graduated from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. First year of law school must be complete before internship begins.
Pay Information: The hourly pay for this internship is $25.00.
