Pros of working at Eli Lilly and Company

Salary was exceptional compared to COL in Indianapolis. It is great working with so many bright, talented colleagues. The company is very, very employee focused and treats them exceptionally well-this is shown by the many benefits given to employees and how they treat retirees and those that they encourage to leave because of business climate.

Cons of working at Eli Lilly and Company

The company is very hierarchical, conservative, and clique-ish. W.r.t. Science jobs they tend to hire from top notch universities which tend to lead to a lack of diversity In Terms of how to approach problems. In addition, there's a tendency to have too many meetings where, rather than discussing “data”, the primary focus is to foster support for an already decided course of action.

Pros of working at Eli Lilly and Company

I get left relatively alone. I've been there long enough to have a bit of unwritten seniority. There are some good people that work here.

Cons of working at Eli Lilly and Company

The pay sucks, the management is horrible, and benefits are pretty much non-existant. There is very little ability to move up.

Eli Lilly and Company benefits

They're pretty flexible with work schedules and days off.
