Eliot's Early Intervention Program supports children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities in the Everett, Malden, and Medford area. Our multidisciplinary team delivers community-based therapeutic interventions using a coaching model with parents and caregivers. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will participate in screenings, assessments, center and home visits, child and parent groups, and will provide service coordination for families along with consultation regarding clinical and developmental issues. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the lives of adults with mental health challenges and possess the interpersonal skills needed to build meaningful relationships with both the individuals we serve and members of the ACCS team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with working with children and families. Under the direction of the supervisor, will be primarily responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for clients. The Residential Counselor is expected to be knowledgeable of the program's mission, treatment philosophy, and policies and procedures and to implement this understanding in their direct care and supervision of clients. In this position, the Residential Counselor will counsel, observe, and provide behavioral training, outreach support, advocacy and treatment to children and their families to facilitate reunification and/or long-term out of home placement.
