Responsibilities: * Provide direct support to individuals with medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in completing daily activities, including personal care, meal prep, cleaning, and leisure * Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed, promoting independence and personal growth * Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and report any significant health, behavioral, or psychiatric concerns * Perform routine housekeeping tasks and report all maintenance or safety issues to ensure a clean and safe environment Qualifications: * Requires a High School Diploma * Experience working with adults with cognitive, behavioral, or developmental issues. * Valid Massachusetts Drivers License * Ability to drive program vehicle in Boston and highways.     The Restoration Center Certified Peer Specialist promotes the engagement, hope and the full integration and functioning of Persons Served (PS) needed to live successfully in the community. Provides Peer Support Services; helps PS explore their options and gain the confidence, skills, and resources needed to succeed in goals. Responsibilities Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Supports implementation of interventions outlined in person served's Restoration Center Support Plan. • Provides support, education and advocacy to PS, especially at times of service and life transitions; for example, being discharged from a hospital, detoxification unit or respite setting, moving to their own apartment, or when facing life stage challenges - particularly for young adults and elders. • Engages PS in non-directive and supportive relationships that promote empowerment and self-learning. • Assists PS in linking to other community services and Recovery networks - both actual and electronic. • Facilitates Peer Support groups. Responsibilities The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below: • Assist in implementing treatment programs, including PSTPs and clinical programs. May participate in treatment planning process. • Provide discrete services to the program with a senior level of expertise in the areas of activities/recreation, dual disorders, employment or education. • Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of the specialized services under the direction of the supervisor. • Implement service plan interventions with persons served. • Provide direct training and support (instruction, assistance, modeling, and reinforcement) for persons served in the specialized skill area (activities/recreation, dual disorders, employment, or education). • Maintain and update documentation in individuals' records, program log, and program records. • Act as an advocate for persons served. • Communicate verbally and in writing, with co-workers, supervisors, and other services providers and community resources. • Provide shift coverage for the program, as necessary. • Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings, as assigned. Assist with the orientation of new staff. Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory bodies. • Comply with all corporate and divisional policies and procedures, including safe work practices, worker's compensation, universal precautions, and exposure control. • Perform other related duties, as required.
